Basic Zombies like these are actually very interesting. The slowest recorded moving zombie was so slow, zombies not moving at all were actually faster than it. This makes a slow zombie a unique creature as it hunts down it's prey while breaking into minus speeds!

I didn't see Diary of the Dead, but it looks better than Land of the Dead, like Romero simplified it.

Interesting, a bigger budget and bigger stars did not make Land of the Dead a better film, though it wasn't terrible.

awesome clip! though this is a question that makes me laugh in modern day zombie flicks, why is it the people in the film have never heard of a zombie? like when a reporter sez "the recently deceast are coming back to life and eating the living" they never think they might be zombies : D its like theres no such thing as a zombie movie in that world. oh well.

Actually, there's a movie called Dead Men Walking about a zombie outbreak in a prison and all the men in there use all of their knowledge from zombie movies to fight them off. I have yet to see this movie though T.T

"Night of the Living Dead," which paved the way for the modern perception of a zombie, would the not exist as a movie in George Romero's movies... which would explain why nobody knows what a zombie is.
