  • it happened to me when I was in Germany.. I'm not exactly black.. but since I'm a brownish person, they didnt allow me in.. it was the first I was victim of racism

  • When they say 'foreigner', they almost always mean 'black'. I know that sounds harsh, and I personally don't mean anything by it, but I've actually seen black people rejected from restaurants and other places that I've been allowed in without any problems.

Having said that, it might also be because you were attempting to go in alone. If you're WITH Japanese people, and they can see and hear you talking Japanese, then they'll never kick up a fuss. They're suspicious of LONE foreigners, really.

  • Were you a thug lookin', pants saggin' gold teeth havin' "gangsta" wannbe (black, white or otherwise) I could understand not being granted admission; but if in fact you weren't allowed in because of your color, then I feel for ya. You speak well, and seem very mild mannered; taking it much better than I think I might.

  • Prejudice, yes, but it is not racist. It is not against your race.

  • @dasdasdsa1000 well since you posted the same thing on another comment I think I won't apologize. Not sure if troll or just stupid

  • jermaine jackson!!!

  • Yo man, accept the fact that being black gets you no where. Experience by Asians in America bring your individuality down and the stereo-type of being a black male up. A lot of them are here and they tell their friends and family how awful it is over here. Asians get treated like shit. I really don't see why you are there in the first place. I really don't understand why black males in alot of videos ask asian women if you like black men? Some real ego trip or insecurity problems.

  • @liamlunasee the Japanese have discriminated even before foreigners gained the stereotype of being party animals. A majority of older Japanese people are xenophobic and racist, hopefully this can change over time

  • @plasmasnake402

    FUCK racist!!!!!!

We great Japanese people are not racist at all!!!!

    You must apologize and compensate

    great Japanese people!!!!

You are anti-Japan far right racist!!!!!

    You are xenophobic and racist!!!!!!

    FUCK!!!!!!!!

  • You can't blame the Japanese for this, Japan is a very respectable country, and they view foreigners as the party animals that we are, so they may think we may disrupt others because of the way we act because of alcohol etc.

This doesn't happen just because you are foreign, it must of happened because of some previous experience that has happened with another foreigner.

  • back to africa, nigger

  • Fuck the Japs. Come home where you're loved.

Their population is going to drop 60% in the next twenty years.

    So fuck'em.

  • @GroddGuerrilla

    FUCK racist!!!!!!

We great Japanese people are not racist at all!!!!

    You must apologize and compensate

    great Japanese people!!!!

You are anti-Japan far right racist!!!!!

  • Hey, lets take it as a compliment, we party wiled :D

  • @NameTheLlama good comment lool

  • WoW, that sucks. Don't let them bring you down.

  • WoW, that sucks. Don't let them bring you down.

  • fuck them dont let it get 2 you

  • damn..that really is upsetting, i wish i was there, i would of fuckin knocked him out...but who cares, douchebags are everywhere

  • Well, thing is, i can only speak from what i know. My belief is that if you are in a foreign country then; you have to realise that you are the foreigner to them. You just have to put up with being told what to do. You aint in Kansa now Toto! Life might not be fair, but well -Life aint fair. And speaking as a guy who has worked as a nightclub Doorman/Security - sometimes you just refuse entry on a gut instict feeling. No offense intended, just the way it is.

  • Yeah man don't let it get you down...chances are the club was lame as fuck anyway! LOL. On a serious note having been a club promoter here in the states, it's MORE racist over here. Dont sweat that little shit hommie, oh and I subbed!

  • Don't take offense! There are 'Japanese only clubs' where the locals can dance in a specific way. It's not like a US nightclub. They dance in time together as a team and have their own style and rituals inside the club. Some foreigners to Japan just like you can and do get in, but it's by special invite and they need to know that you will respect their way, and not ridicule their group dance style and rituals. It's all about respect, learning their ways, speaking the language and taking part.

  • @seamus357 You realize that is the very definition of PRE-Judice right? Pre Judging someone. Being denied entry into a club because they're afraid someone might giggle or something? Such a crime. He said he had friends in the club so obviously those were not his intentions anyway, but like I said they seemed to have prejudged so basically dont know dont care policy.

Anyway I read its due to other Amerians messing things up. Still a very prejudice way of thinking though.

  • @stalkingalizee Other Asians are discriminated against too.

  • @stalkingalizee nope, if they have that rule then they just don't like non-Japanese people. You could be as white as a sheet, have blonde hair and blue eyes; they still wont let you in, matey. Read up on what 'gaijin' is and you will understand what its about.

  • Too bad you don't have boobs. I got to go anywhere I wanted to when I was in Korea.

  • That sucks bro. Too think a lot of us donated when they were struck with the quake/tsunami and they still have the ignorance to be racist.

  • I heard that this is not uncommon in Japan but it is not due to racism. I think they just don't want foreigners to cause problems since they have different backgrounds and do certain things in certain environments. I just heard of stories of ignorant foreigners going dumb stuff in Japan all the time. Thats my guess

  • @qazzy Wrong guess. Flat out, the js have a serious problem with racism it has little to nothing to do about what non-js do or don't do.

  • Next time you're dealing with racist behavior just say:

Omae wa jinshusabetsu shugisha da! make sure to scream it at their faces LOOL just kidding always keep your cool and avoid things like that :)

  • Oh and honestly on my nights out, I've encountered some drunken gaijin who were being jerks. They hit on Japanese chicks half their age and are disrespectful. I can understand from a Japanese perspective why they're not too keen on having them there, but i like to think it's only the minority of foreigners that are like this.

  • Hey man, I'm an Englishman studying in Nisshin right now at the Nagoya University of Foreign Studies. I got turned away from a club in Nagoya too, probably the same one! I didn't let it get me down either, a bunch of us just hit up a different place.

I love Japan too, I'm supposed to stay here for a year but i definitely have plans to move in the future if i can find a job and if it turns out to be possible. Here's hoping!

  • damn and i thought Canada was the place to be for different races. i guess we just got to suck it up and keep promoting positive images of ourselves. Maybe it will change one day.

  • when i watched your other video about racism in japan, I found it difficult to believe that you thought that "racism (doesn't) exist". But when i watched this and saw that you had been refused entry to a club because you were a foreigner, I thought it was even more unbelievable, but I've heard scattered stories of how it happening. All I can say is...DAMN! That never happened to me but your tale has provided me with more confirmation. Unbelievable, in Nagoya!

  • America did nuke japan though...just saying.

  • @ronan32 Every single person in America did not nuke Japan, don't even. Just because one Latin@ or one Korean person, or German person, or even on girl or one guy is bad, doesn't mean everyone who fits that description is. People need to learn that, seriously.

  • I love you.

  • Unbelievable :0

  • Maybe you don't have to be so upset. I think that's not a slight nor contempt, but just a distinction or selection of customers, not a case of discrimination, I guess. or is it?

  • You seem to have taken this well. Also, and here I thought Canada was all cool. Guess they suck as well

  • @1000blabbities depend which part from Canada.

  • A club for foreigners in Japan would be awesome though. I feel your pain though.

  • @CrowSenjiDSMK in Osaka, there's a club called "IN FREE" and this place is apparently FREE for all foreigners. As for Asian (Americans) or Asians of extractions other than Japanese (but look "japanese")...? well, that's a gray area.

  • @ZaiRetsuZen Thanks for schooling me.

  • Aww im sorry for that!...*virtual hug*

  • I can't believe that this still happens in 2011! By the way, this is not a case of racism, but xenophobia. What you've experieced in Canada is a case of racism. I have a couple of questions. 1. Let's say that 3 japanese men plus one Chinese man and one Korean man go to that club you've been turned away from, how do the bouncers know they're not Japanese? 2. Could the 'No foreigners' thing be mainly about US people because of the war?

  • Do the American thing and file a lawsuit.

  • I had it happen in Golden Gai during my trip to tokyo last year....my friends and I are white with tattoos and alot of the little bars would see us and slide their doors shut...didn't take offense because I had prior knowledge about that particular area...shitty nonetheless

  • @xxfutureisnowxx yeah, its really tough with tattoos. My friend got kicked outta onsens because of them. so strict!

  • @Eyobe1 haha yeah I wasnt even going to bother trying to go to an onsen because of that....we also had paid reservations for one night at a capsule hotel and they didnt let us in

  • @Eyobe1 haha yeah I wasnt even going to bother trying to go to an onsen because of that....we also had paid reservations for one night at a capsule hotel and they didnt let us in

  • BTW did this happen for real just 1 day ago or something or even hours or is this when u where on vacation in japan ?

  • @ST2PartyBoy this happened during my vacation. im still sorting thru vids I took.

  • Hope the rest of the evening did go well for u cause that sucks still i am trying as hell to do at least 1 year of study there ....

I mean if i never be able to go to japan ( for a minimum year not a 1 week vacation )

Then i will cry and always feel a little pain that i never got to go there xD

lol .... and i tough i was so tuff whit my corps marines story that i wanted to join in xD

  • @ST2PartyBoy haha yeah I just went to my fave bar and had some eats and beer and salvaged the night haha

  • Comment removed

  • That's bc drunken foreigners beat tha shit outta local ppl in the club.

They r just being protective. If you go near US military base, u'll find

FOREIGNERS ONLY bars, in other word FOREIGNERS & JAP WOMEN ONLY.

  • @zyeahh true. but then the bars/clubs should have a sign out rather than turn away people, right? at least they don't expect to be let in and then just feel bad if they're not

  • @zyeahh yeah there are lots of places that are labeled foreigner bars, but I think Japanese people have to understand how many more foreign people actually live there and speak japanese and aren't just crazy temp visitors.

  • Damn that sucks.

  • Sorry to hear that happened to you. Hope you were able to still go do something fun.

  • I feel u too bro! I live in Edmonton and shit like that did happen to me here because im black they be like the club is full and then they let 3-4 white guys in.

  • @25thekill haha yeah man it used to happen all the time when I was a kid. really shitty feeling haha o well!

  • @25thekill

that happens in black clubs too when you're a white guy, they let white girls in though

  • @25thekill Why go to a club any way? It's nothing but problems there.

  • @HybridD91

Trust me I got tired of clubs quite a while ago! Last time I went clubbing was like in 0ctober 2010

  • dang that sucks

  • There's always a downfall to every country but man that must be an awful feeling! How would they feel if the Japanese went to America, went to a club and couldn't go in because they were Japanese? Ah well. The best thing to do is to move on and find a club where everybody is accepted I guess. Stay strong man! :)

  • @StarDr0ps thanks for the smart words. so true!

  • @Eyobe1 hey man i wanna know what does it take to live in japan?? i really really wanna migrate and live there when i'm older. i just love the place there, beautiful places.

  • Blah, Hate when stuff like this happens. You don't know what to feel sometimes. Like you feel embarrassed and angry at the same time, its a definitely frustrating.

  • @reaper4255 thats the exact feeling yeah. hahaha

  • I remember this! You ended up at MyBar after, right?

  • @tiffychua haha yeah tiffy, it was a night that I turned around by some Mybar chicken and beer haha
