There is still a noticeable afro-peruvian population in Peru today, and they face inequalities and discriminative acts due to the color of their skin. There is a video documentary on youtube about Afro-Peruvians and Afro Mexicans. they even talk about how upsetting El Negro Mama is to afro-peruvians.

@xlmidi I'm not offended whatsoever, however, I'm going to elaborate why. You are partially correct, Spain brought over 100,000 Africans BEFORE it was named Peru. This was still an Inca Empire. Peru was called the Tahuantinsuyo and it was divided in 4 areas. The names were Chinchaysuyu, Contisuyu, Antisuyu and Collasuyu. Therefore, Spain brought Africans to Chinchaysuyu ( part of it became Lima afterwards).
