@gno1972 yes,yes it will so far Ive bricked my g1 8 times 6 of the 8 were because I loaded an incorrect theme ad the other two because it just did IDk.but...it's worth it but be warned the g1 has very little internal memory compared to other modern phones.Also,it's sort of easy to unbrick your phone you just add a file yadayada and it's unbricked so in my opinion you should totaly root your phone

nah it doesnt work bc they did an update well i got it 2 days ago. and when you do a reset wont go back to the 1st update meaning it will stay at the 2nd update. you know what im saying.. like it wont go to the old update, it will take you to the 2nd one.. thats prolly whats happening/ idk..

It works. You just have to keep on trying. You need to wipe and then restore to RC29 Then follow my videos. I just hacked 2 other G1 with Full cupcake updates. It works just keep on trying.

Put your G1 in recovery mode by holding home and pressing power and then press alt - w. Taht wipes everything then it will work.

For all of you who installed the theme and it went to a black screen you need to plug your phone to the computer delete that update then reinstall the cupcake udate

fyi be sure to rename the cupcake update "update"
