What a crappy audience, i can´t understand the boo reason, he just nailed that song right from the begining. He is amazin and with this song really touch my heart.
Even at the start when he wasn`t entirely impressive, I still knew he was something else considering the whole `He`s never going to be able to sing again` part.
That has got to be one of the best moments in these types of shows. The way he turn the crowd around is just so moving. The whole thing is just amazing and it touches me in ways I can't describe. It's hard to watch his determination despite the crowd and not tear up a little.
I felt soo bad for him when the crowd boooed him. So glad they finally realized he is amazing. He raises many people up by showing they can overcome something like he did. He shows true determination and talent!
Imagine what he was going through in those couple of minutes.. Hasn't sang or even really spoken alot in the last 11 years.. Then goes out there again and damn near gets booed off the stage.. But he keeps on singing.. And doing so, inspires the whole world. What a magical and beautiful moment.. I'll never forget it

I watched that night and thought there was no doubt he would end up winning the show. At the end of the season I thought he was by far the best and should have won. He is still number ONE to me!!
I love his voice & he gained a boatload of respect from me the way he just kept singing his heart out, had that been me on that stage with the audience's reaction at the beginning, I am sure I would have ran off of the stage in tears never to return. Excellent job!!

They weren't even listening when he started singing, just behaving badly to relieve the tedium. When they finally started to actually hear him singing his heart out, they did a complete turnaround, as they should, the man can definitely sing which was even more amazing considering he was unable to even speak for years after his accident.

I was actually in this audience and people all around me were booing, there was also people around me saying, "Why is everybody booing?" I asked the same thing!
When the show was over I asked one of the guys in front of me why he booed. He said, "Everyone else was booing and it was really hard to hear him with all the loud booing!"
I guess a group started the booing and it caught on. I don't know its insane really! lol

I reckon they only did it to throw him off to try and get him off his game. When they realized they were losing their own battle, you just had to applaud him. He stuck through their negativity and turned it to positivity and that's just admirable

I come to watch this video & listen to his pure voice so many times each week, his story is so uplifting...today I thought about claim to fame & his speaks for itself, but then there are those I dub Tin-Eared Idiots, the booers, their claim? they are forever on this video, caught in the act of stupidity, right here for the whole world to see, is a shame for those in the audience that knew there was an exceptional man before them, they will always have to deny that they were one of the idiots

i don't know why the audience ever even yells off. even at a bad act. it's mean and it hurts someone's feelings. its not like the audience has a choice in the audition part. they're supposed to just watch.

I just SOB every single time I see this. They were so wrong and unjust to immediately boo at him. They went from being so incredibly rude to standing and cheering for him. I get so choked up watching this. And after such a comeback... Wow. Heart wrenching

what a true professional! he kept going no matter what the audience was yelling and he proved all those booing him to be dead wrong. He has the voice, he is humble and looks to die for, he is the whole package! Thank you God for making him and others like him!
