  • This looks like the perfect substitute for a sheepdog!

  • this is how documentaries should be filmed

  • deer have good kharms or know your tx is limited. LOL! eagles can kill deer here, small or med. so makes sense the herd fleeing. Cool,

  • Love the deer, shame about the crash!

  • is this a transmitting video feed back to you?

  • @Derelictos yep

  • What is that rope looking thing at 1:33 that you fly over? I didnt see any powerlines.....

  • @groundloop07 yes you did see a powerline... disused.

  • I know that you are a park ranger so i guess you can answer this question , those deer's on your video are natural from Australia or they are introduce spices like the camels .

  • @TheFlyingRookie .... they're feral.

  • @juz70 What makes you say that?

  • @YesterdayWentTooSoon what I meant was that they are not native to Australia

  • the fisheye/wideangle makes the earth seem so small. awesome video and idea btw!

  • 1 deer dislikes this vid.lol

  • Herding the deer mabey?

  • Great video! nice location for a video. I wish I could fly half that far away but my hitec just would not do it. Got a new radio on the way and it will have two antennas in the receiver plus two remote antennas also so I hope that fixes my range problem. Cool music.

  • Hey Juz, instead of getting a UHF LRS, just get a 500mW - 1W amplifier on your TX.

Thats a simpler and much cheaper option considering your current setup.

That will give you pretty much total coverage up to the viable distance and endurance for a multirotor.

LRS systems are good for up too 40km, sure, but you arent likely to fly a multirotor past 2km or so before you reach your PNR, right?

  • @ChickenHawk110 thanks mate. I'll do some googling

  • Amazing as always, thanks!

  • Fantastic stuff, mate. That was a huge herd of dear! I'm glad the damage was minimal. Keep them coming.

  • Awesome! No more words can define this video. I imagine the freedom you feel flying in your way :)

  • Hey!!! you gave me inspiration to put my iphone into my cockpit of my airplane lol just uploaded it

  • as usual YOU ARE MY HERO!!! I want to grow up and fly and make vids like you!!! Not to mention how beautiful it is there!!!!! what city or area is that!!! lotsa wilodlife!!! the deer DID NOT DIG THE QUAD AT ALL!!! though your very nice about it!!! Dont know that i could show your resrtaint!!! ANYWAYS FIRST CLASS STUFF AS ALWAYS MATE!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!! OH AND WHAT WAS THE DAMAGE REPORT PLZ!!

  • Hey btw, what's your FPV setup? It's extremely stable, and noise free.

  • @Nomoreidsleft see my channel for my equipment

  • @Nomoreidsleft Noise free because the video is recorded direct in the camera I guess :)

  • Wow, looks like a good way to herd cattle, at least deer anyways.

The roos don't seem to be aware of where the noise was coming from.

  • hmm looks like someone has pulled the plug out of your head :)

  • Very nice!

  • The deer won!

  • awesome!

  • Nother nice vid fella! you know what causing those brown outs?

  • @pixelboy45 This is the only brown out I've had. I knew I was getting too far and low, but just wanted to play with the deer. So, yeah, I know what caused it. The ridge that I flew behind, trees, my altitude and the distance (1km) from home all came together to test the range and penetration of my rc system beyond its limits.

  • Awesome as always Juz! I got my FPV quad stuck about 10m up a tree last weekend 'cause I flew too far from base and lost the flight radio signal. Might I suggest you rebind your reciever with the throttle set to slow descent power, that way if you loose the signal again your copter comes down more gently (hopefully not into tree like mine...) Happy flying to you!

  • @nootherusernamesleft thanks mate. problem with that is, if you land in a tree or inverted, the machine will destroy itself or burn escs/break props...chicken dance style. Throttle off is the safest failsafe for me. Damage was one arm $12 and half of one landing gear/leg $2. Not bad =]

  • @juz70 Good point... I got lucky and my 330xs landed neatly on a branch, perfectly level and proceeded to run at mid throttle untill I drove over to it. Managed to 'fly' it unstuck after about 5 mins of trying. Thought I was going to have to fetch a big ass chainsaw and play 'Im a lumberjack and im OK...' ;) I've got a 2W $50 wifi amp comming soon, to boost the radio range, i'll let you know how it goes once tested.

  • Juz is back. Hooray... !

    Excellent vid.

I hope one day your quad doesn't get stuck in top of very tall tree. Call the Rangers in, ha know any!!

    UHF for you fella?

The deer's don't seen interested in the CC board but rest of the world is!

  • @Mark1Spitfire nah, I think 2.4 is okay for a quadcopter. You never know, I would like a LRS. The problem was..I went behind a ridge and flew too low. The CC board is totally awesome, as is the VC-450 frame.

  • deer, 'roos and a bird... , nice! Now i learn that kangaroos say (speak) 'roos ;) Here at my home - only in ZOO.

  • How much range can you get from the base station?? It looked like you were at least 1km away from where you launched.

  • @philbot01 video range is not tested by me. RC range? 1km, maybe, depending on conditions.

  • Awesome.. Best video yet!

  • great stuff again mate

  • Great video! Sorry for the crash. Is it easily repairable? Was this in the us? I dont know any other places with kangaroo other than Australia.

  • @noxnflame easy and cheap repair. In Australia mate!
