Yakult is made thanks to a bunch of japanese participants happily initiating a download, the bacteria is then cultivated and extracted where it is put into a sugar packed drink.

So yeah, yakult REALLY is the shit.

I think this is a really clever commercial and mascot. Unfortunately, it's not front and center on the Yakult page, which makes me think it's only a temporary or test campaign. My sister thought it was kind of weird at first, but then I saw she went out and bought Yakult, haha.

I hope they stick with it for a while!! I think it could be a long-term winner.

@mysterysongbird I called Yakult today to see if they had some available...they said no but that they'd inform me (I gave them my email) if it does become available...funny enough, I asked them if they've had other requests for the plushie and she responded "oh we've had thousands" lol...so maybe there's hope. I hope they can make it just like this little guy with the cute noises and the ability to blow air from its pipe...so cute!! Can't wait to fly kites with him :)

This is an incredibly clever and funny commercial. The small, very witty details such as the horseback riding and blowing bubbles at the end make it great. Also, I like that some of the video clips are in a "home movie" style of cinematography. Brilliant!
