@nikofazz...That's a wonderful posting, and it's not sappy at all. It illustrates how much baseball is a part of the American psyche, and can bridge generations of fans together like no other sport. You are indeed very fortunate to have your initial family so intact, and I'm just glad your father is not a Chicago Cubs fan. It would have been a very long and endless road...
Today's my Dad's 84th birthday and he's been a yankee fan since birth. Joltin Joe was his favorite so I sent this to him. Should help to make his day a little brighter. Also celebrated his and my Mom's 63rd anniversary yesterday. I'm a lucky guy to have both parents still with me and still married. Sorry for the sappy story.
