  • you are wearing sunglasses

  • @mattevanhart Actually no, it's just the reflection of the computer screen on my glasses :)

  • it´s impossibible to solve this for 99,9 percent of the people so i get a lot of......dates?

  • great stop-motion! it looks like its solving itself!

  • I love this thing! My math teacher had one and I made fun of him coz it took him like 5 mins to get the cross and I almost sovled the bottom two layers in like 5 mins...hehe

  • nice glasses :D

  • it looks like a transformer

  • hahas mirror cube is fun :D

  • 0:27 -- A reflection of thumbs-up and big grin from the guy.

  • i use it as a mirror

  • what!?!?!?!

  • red ring of death behind

  • i have one it's easy to solve

  • OWSOME!

  • Nice Video! This cube is great, it solves just like a 3x3 but you have to focus on size and shape of cubies, color is obviously removed from the equation. A great addition to anyone's collection. Check out my collection on my Facebook page - "Twisty Puzzles"

  • Lol, that's awsome! Maybe I should do one with my apple.

  • Looks like it's break dancing!

  • Applause. I too have this Mirror Cube. It is the only cube that I'm able to solve. I never flowed with the colors. The thing I applaud you for is taking your time to go step by step to actually do a stop motion for it. That prevents your hands from getting in the way of this beautiful Rubik's Cube.

  • super kostka polecam!

  • i got one of these but i dont no how to solve it so evrytime i mess up i take it apart and put it back the right way

  • The music with this makes this so much funnier than it woudl've been. Hahaha oh my god (I mean no disrespect, my best friend is a cubehead)

  • this cube it so fun!!!

  • i like very much the video. do you like the mirror cube? i want buy one ,buti don´t the prices

  • and the beast has been tamed.

  • how about a terminx mirror cube :D ?

  • @neildangad it's possible, but completely bogus as far as solving it goes... the reason we don't have 5x5 mirror cubes is because with the 3x3, the piece sizes are already hard enough to figure out. with 200+ pieces like a teraminx, it would be literally impossible. same thing with the 5x5 i think. although that would be epic :D

  • @ninjaassassin27 uuuh i hade no idea what i typed on my comment down there :) good to know someone else knos about this things :D

  • @neildangad :D

  • @ninjaassassin27 that i understand :D

  • Mirror cube is my favorite!

  • Very well done.

  • It would sound nice with the transforming sound efffect.

  • this is the first video i ever saw about the mirror cube, and the first time i saw it, at the beginning, i was like: "THAT AIN'T NO CUBE!"

  • at first it looks like a retarded transformer LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • Lawl u took 1:50 hours:minutes with pictures ><

  • ooooooo this was EPIC!

  • your comments have relatively convinced me that this is NOT a reverse scramble.

  • were can i get it

  • sick. you should be out there engineering buildings or something man. kudos

  • That's increadable! Very nice :) I just got a mirror cube and I was messing with it and OOPS! I screwed it up... I know how to solve the normal 3x3 in 40 seconds but I gave this a try and I don't get it... is it the same consept of solving it layer by layer? Or is it totaly diffrent? Is there parity? I'm dieing to know.

    Thanks

    Manta

  • @MantarayProductions Once you get a little more familiar with it it becomes much easier. It solves exactly the same way a normal 3x3 does, and nope, no parity. The difficulty is that instead of colors, you have to solve it using the relative size of each block. I solve by finding either the biggest or smallest blocks for the first layer that way I can get my bearings. Good luck!

  • @MantarayProductions yeah, it's like a 3x3, and solves exactly he same, you just have to see it differently

  • @MantarayProductions i have exactly the same situation

  • .................................... i was just now so proud of myself because i figured out where the music comes from, wich fight i mean, then i begin writing this, see that its right there....... and i thought SOB!

  • Gonna get a mirror cube this week because of your fine efforts. It just looked like some crazy transformer on drugs. Good tunes aswell.

  • what the ... this cube must be unbeleavable hard to solve^^

  • OH MY GOD that was amazing! how could you stand taking that long?!

  • @notazinman Actually, this one didn't take very long to do. My 7x7 and Megaminx videos took much longer, 7 hours and 5 respectively. Thank you for the compliment!

  • Looks like its from some sort of 3D animated movie. It's amazing, this is an amazing video and deserves way more views!

  • @Flatchlenter Thank you very much :D

  • looks like a lot of work just to build a mirror...

  • EPIC MUSIC DUDE!!!!

  • Yo se hacerlo!!! EN SERIO

  • That's cool!!!

  • when i managed to solve the rubiks cube i thought i was amazing, but to solve this...

  • cool

  • wow! great!

  • Brilliant stop-motion! I love the reflections of the camera and lights. "Like" from me :-)

  • It's so much harder to solve when you're drunk.

  • gruselig

  • how long did you take for making this vid??

  • I got one of these off of eBay, and it came with colors on it, so now I have a shape-shifting Rubik's cube

  • i Got mine recently too its frikkin awesome =D nice solve Ftw ; D

  • u solve it just like how you would solve a 3x3x3 cube but instead of matching the colors u look at the shape.

    n it's a bit harder to handel =p

but this one is very cool.

    n nice job.

  • HARD!!!

  • wa thats awsome id like to get one lol XD

  • whats the point of the mirror cube? its already solved in the beginning... isnt it?

  • everything is solved in the beginning....thats why you mix it up when you get it. and read the info, it explains.

  • lol I see camera.

  • nice...this would be a new challenge for pro cubers xD

  • its actually not very hard to solve but its still harder than the original 3x3x3 cube because you have to look at the different shapes here

  • looks like some kind of break dance xD

I think the mirror cube is wierd... I like the original rubik's cube better!

  • Sweet

  • i just got mine for christmas and it cuts corners like hell and is extremely loose. very frustrating to solve.

  • i know how to solve the mirror cube, you just need to understand it, if you know hoqw to solve the 3x 3x 3x rubiks cube, you can alsaw understand on how to solve a mirror cube

  • at 27 you can see the lens

  • at 1:18 you can see his face lol

  • it is hard for me at first, but after 1 hr of pratice i got use to the shape and imagined tat the shape are like colours, but still abt 4 min to solve 7x slower den my normal cube

  • i just got a mirrors cube yesterday! It took me 30 min to solve :P Its just like a 3x3

  • Nice! Looks like a lot of work went into that vid! I just need to know: where can I get one of those. I can solve a normal 3x3 so I want a new challenge :)

  • There's a bunch of places that sell them: ebay, thinkgeek, dealextreme might have them as well. I know I've seen them a Target before too. Try googling "Mirror Blocks for sale"

  • O_O how did u do that?

    i mean..without using ur hands...

  • Its a stop motion animation :)

Rather than taking a video, I take a ton of pictures, then stream them together to make it look like the cube moves on its own.

  • that is so cool! hehe you are awesome =)

  • It's called the "Mirror Blocks Cube"

  • It goes by several names, that one included. The problem is that it originated in Japan so the loose translations to English vary. :)

  • you can se his ace at 0:27

  • Comment removed

  • "I bet you posted the pictures of the solution backwards!"

Wrong, you can clearly see each of the algorithms being performed. Its not like its difficult to solve a 3x3 anyways, why on Earth would I waste your time with a fake solve?! All my stop motion solutions start with a scrambled cube, and I solve it like I normally would but taking pictures along the way, which makes it look smooth... although in some videos you can see that I go awry at times.

  • it 'moves' like an aoutobot from transformers... :) very very good job, i will got my own mirror cube at saturday, i can't wait...

  • Hahahahahaa, FANTASTIC JOB, MAN !!!

  • lol at 0.27 you can see his face.

  • I got one for about USD 5, very interesting stuff, should be renamed as "Transformer Cube"

  • its like an allspark cube. :D

  • fantastico simplemtne espectacular!

  • Great job, very smooth. It is not called a mirror cube for nothing, you could see the camera about four or five times.

  • Up to about 0:34 it reminded me of a break dancer. :]

    Great video

    5*

  • haha awesome man

and i like how you can see the camera

  • I really want that cube!! It's so goddam pretty! Is there any other place besides ebay where I could get it??

...And solving it would be exactly like a 3x3x3, right... it just LOOKS more complicated than that... right??

  • If you refer to my review, I got this Mirror Cube from thinkgeek(.com) for about $20 (not including shipping & handling).

It does indeed solve EXACTLY like a normal 3x3. The difficulty is in finding the correct cubies to place.

  • Mine if from thinkgeek to, its a nice puzzle only one off the stickers starting to peel after 2 weeks? I used the cube everyday.

But its not that hard, when you solved like 10 times you will easily know what to do with the shappes

  • very smooth stop motion! nice!

  • check out my megaminx stop motion solve!!! 1230 pictures!!

  • I have my own megaminx stop motion video, I'll add it as a reply to this video. Among my stop motion videos include a Rubik's Snake, Eastsheen 5x5, V-Cube 7x7x7 (the first ever 7x7 stop motion), the mirror cube obviously, and the megaminx (which I kept myself in the camera shot throughout the 5 hours of pictures).

  • what a great introduction and statements about the cube, you do nothin but putting like in the cube world!!! keep it up

  • Thanks :)

  • I can see your face @ 1:18 you look smart, but I love the video

  • Yeah, I decided to make a hidden cameo (although its not too well hidden). If you were able to go frame by frame you would also spot me at 0:26 in one frame. I wish there was a way to keep the camera out of the shot but alas, it is a mirror cube :D

  • you know its this kind of thing that will eventually lead to transformers. hehe

  • Nice! That is a really strange cube, i might pick one up if i see one next time i go out.
