  • can somebody give me the lirycs of this conversation???

im from colombia... so i dont understand what he say... a little only... jeje

    please

  • Terry- Do you know what Derivative means?

    girl- No

    Terry- WHY NOT?!!

  • DERIVATIVE

  • She might be confused but in the end she still understands that he is making her a compliment^^

  • lmao whenever I watch this I imagine it where like even though Jodelle keeps saying "oh", in her head she's really just like "I have no idea what this guy is talking about".

  • She gets it at the end though cos she's like "ohhhh" in a higher register :P

  • @Luvzi12 I thought she got it earlier and her voice went up because she was being complimented? :)

  • This is hilarious! I love Gilliam and I loved this film!! XD

  • You're name is awesomeee!

  • Gilliam is awesome. Cute scene!

  • get her out of here hahahahaha

  • doyouknowwhat derivative means? why NOT.

  • LOL....I love Gilliam's honesty.

  • i love the way he gives a cinematographic opinion in a definition of a word

  • Oh!

  • "Roland Emmerich copys all his shots from Speilberg"

    Miaow! :)

  • that was cute.

  • "it's like you acting like Nick Nolte" LOL!!!

    Gilliam is a bad ass.

  • Gilliam would rock as a teacher.

  • Agreed!

  • haha how fun. ^-^

  • Jodelle is a darling ^^

  • kool4ever YOU are a complete and utter TWAT

  • This is lovely. It's always best to talk to children without patronizing them, in order that they become smarter.

  • @Jamesbharris2 bullshit... give me one scientific paper which shows that conclusively

  • @doogiedog1234 Read some of Rudolf Steiner's work for instance.

  • @znikacz that fact that he comes to conclusions based upon his own direct experience rather from large scale research shows bias in his finding... and has no defining statistical evidence to back up his imaginative thoughts.. the fact he came up with these conclusions 100 years ago.. all these things aren't very convincing.

  • @Jamesbharris2 seriously man she probley didnt understand 90% of wat he was talking about then... becasue he was speaking to her as if she was 16... how is that going to make her smarter.. shes a kid. and should be treated like a kid.. i think this clip is funny tho... but id be worried if people were under the impression that this is wat u do to make a child smarter.

  • @doogiedog1234 I don't really feel passionately about this to be honest, I think there are lots of ways to teach children. I myself have primarily taught adults business English, and I don't think I'm in a position to generalize. I think what mainly makes kids smarter is their own interest in things, and it's about encouraging that.

  • @Jamesbharris2 Fair enough mate

  • This could possibly be the best clip on YouTube.

  • Terry Gilliam... greatest filmmaker alive. He is a god of film.

  • HAHA! This is brilliant! He hates bad movies so much! And rightly so!

  • lol the roland emmerich thing was mean.

  • Aww, this is unbelievably sweet.

  • I love what he says about Roland Emmerich.

  • I remember that girl from Mermaid!!! I might be getting Brazil on DVD for Christmas. I asked my mum and she said, "Yes, I don't see why not," but Jack's death scared me so much!

  • thats so funny when all she has to say is oh xD

  • oh!

  • oh!

  • Oh..! xD

    God I love Jodelle xD

  • oh!

  • do you know what derivitive means? why not? get out of here!

    hi-larious

  • Saw this on the DVD. Laughed my arse off. Poor Jodelle.

  • I love Jodelle and "Tideland"...do you have any more clips like this? Thanks for posting this one! =)

  • Sadly I don't. I ganked this part from a rented DVD copy of Tideland before returning it.
