Yes everyone, it was upsetting for me to not get chosen as Ron, If Rupert was ill or unable to do the film then 2nd place would of taken over so I had no chance. I was an understudy for the remainder 5. I did meet Chris Columbus, I had a photo with him back in 2000/01 but it was lost :( To be chosen to play ron would of been amazing but I do stay in contact with him but I am not giving out any email or numbers for him. I would but I swore a Harry Potter promise to the MOM and Hogwarts. :)

I auditioned for Ron back in 2000 when I was 11 and I was called saying that I was in the Top 20, I was then called back again to find out I was in the Top 8, I was then called one final time to let me know that I had not gotten the part but came 6th overall to of been chosen.

@wlwdimlp I'm sure they did plenty of screen tests before they brought the three chosen kids together, it's not just one screen test and it's done. They would have given Daniel plenty of screen tests over the course of months before he even got to the trio screen test. And even then they would have had more screen tests for the kids to interact.

The fact that Emma, Dan, and Rupert were doing this screen test meaning that they had already gone through each of their own rigorous solo screen tests, and this is just the first time the kids got together. Casting is more complex than people think it is.

J.K.'s editor wanted the title to be something "more interesting" to American children, so that's why they say sorcerers. Granted, Philosopher's Stone was first, but you have to admit the title may not have done as well in America amongst little kids. Sorcerer sounds cooler than Philosopher.
