  • I have used this song as my message for those global power-elite, pulling the strings of Western Governments today, who terrorize the world with warfare. They are psychopaths.

    Just google search:

The Battle For Libyan Oil Fields - Woollam

  • Thanks. For some reason this song reminds me of the global power-elite who terrorize the Middle East with warfare.

  • Eu sou brasileiro e sou muito fã deles!!!!! Eles são muito bons!!!

  • What are you looking down here for? The vid is up there ^^

  • Love it. Buying it.

  • 2:04 Bring forth the goosebumps

  • This performance was so emotionally intense... I actually got teary eyed. You guys made me fall in love with a capella. Thank you for being amazing.

  • Never thought I could listen to this "kind" of music but Street Corner Symphony makes it very enjoyable... I'm buying their album!!!

  • For those that keep saying they have a guitar,on the part that sounds like a guitar during the big built up section around 2:23 it is a voice. You can hear it stop when whoever sings it take a breath. Interesting vocal effect, but a voice nonetheless.....unless you know of a guitar that breathes?

  • I honestly would have rathered the studio version without the distortion. It adds unneeded noice and takes away from the gorgeous raw vocals. but it's still a fantastic rendition of a great record

  • It's so sad how many people repeatedly say (after reading everywhere that these are all vocals) that these are instruments. Seriously, everyone. Go into any decent recording program and select a distortion effect.... Hit record... Feel stupid.

  • @Shepard41 Sorry, Shepard, but you're wrong. Record yourself doing backgrounds and put a guitar distortion plug-in on it. You'll hear that it's exactly that result. What you're probably hearing is the distortion specifically on the syllables "ch-chung" that imitate the noise from the original song, though it's present on all the backgrounds.

  • @Shepard41 Impressive isn't it? Sounds just like one.

  • wish u didn't use that distorted guitar................. lots of love from Indian fans

  • 2 people aren't fucking special

  • I hate how people say they use instruments! NO THEY DON'T!!!! They're just THAT good!

  • @AshNStuff Its just that guitar sound... Sounds real.

  • Every time I play this song for my friends, they swear the bass is an instrument. I'm just like...nope. SCS is just plain amazing.

  • Quite simply the greatest performance of any song by any group on any show on T.V. ever...ever!

  • Thank you for the sex you just gave to my ears

  • I am sitting here in amazement. One of my favorite songs, sang better than I think I've ever heard it...including the original. All I can say is "Thank you."

  • I want a CD!!!

  • I like the live version better; it has more passion.

  • i like this better than radiohead

  • My first - and possibly only - itunes purchase.

  • I met them :D just saying!

  • Amazing tallent.. beautiful voices ..you all sing like angels.. Hey World it does not get any better than this.. Street Corner Symphony keep on singing .. ya'll are great.

  • wonderful. :)

  • I thought this was awesome on the sing off show but this studio version is even better!!! You can hear each part and Jeremy is so very special... not a creep. Lol

This is REAL TALENT. Sorry Idol these guys can REALLY sing and do not need back up to hide any flaws in their voices. There are no effects (other than their own voices that I could hear) in the studio version as some have said... just no screaming in the audience (can't blame um) Again simply AWESOME!!!! I want a CD!

  • Don't knock the effects. It is an accepted and valid form of a cappella. Sonos uses various pedals and loops on stage every performance. m-pact uses effects through a soundboard all the time. It doesn't affect the pitch, and doesn't count as an instrument, just an extension of the voice and mind of the artist.

  • Better than Radiohead. And don't change to try to please someone else; y'all are true artists who can really find the edge and push it hard. Do it.

  • Don't stop doin what you are doin. If it aint broke dont fix it. Loved it. You guys are AWESOME!!

  • they did so much better on the show, I have to say that was their best performance on this song

  • I cannot wait for your CD to come out!!! Do you have any idea when that will happen?? Love you guys, your voices are amazing. I don't mean to sound like a crazy fan, I just think you guys are very talented.

  • Yeah, what DannesKJoldThePirate said. Please release an uneffected studio version. You guys are great as is, you don't need computers to make you sound more like instruments.

Besides, people listening to this want to hear Creep A cappella, so the effects are kind of unnecessary.

  • Question, can you guys do the full song of Eleanor Rigby? when you guys did it on the show i just melted, i cried and everything. it was so good.

although i understand if you can't! it's all good <3

anyway, thanks for much inspirations, i'm a very young fan & i love you guys.

  • Could you release an un-effected studio version?

  • Better than the original period.

  • @TadaHanJan No, there were not instruments. Once again, there were effects applied to voice tracks, but there were no instruments used.

  • Comment removed

  • @TadaHanJan They were just THAT good...it sounded like real instruments.

  • @TadaHanJan Lol, well, I guess it's comforting to know that they're good enough to convince other people that they have instruments.

If you're fooled by this kind of "percussion" though, you should look into some other beatboxers and see the amazing things they do.

  • @DBIYBIMWBIU beatboxing isn't everything. The percussion in this song was mainly rhythm, so isn't as noticeable but is critical for keeping the song in time.

  • @TadaHanJan

It's called acapella. SCS is amazing. Watch season repeats; you'll figure it out.

  • @TadaHanJan Theres a video of them doing it live and it sounds just like this :O

  • I dedicate this song to Alan Rickman.

  • This an amazing version! could have done with less of that distortion during the climax tho.

  • never heard this song before seeing the show but they made me love it. Great job.

  • ugh, i'm so mad they didnt win... those other guys weren't nearly as put together as SCS.... in my mind they won! :D

  • Absolutely incredible, though I would also love to hear a studio version without any effects added to voices. I'm quite sure they'd pull it off amazingly well.

  • Scary Good.Thought they were by far the most musically diverse and creative from the show. No disrespect to the winners who had beautiful harmonies as well just one mans humble albeit brilliant opinion.

  • this gave me goosebumps, went to itunes bought them ALL. our support makes them Winners. Great, better, best are sound bites. Put your money on the table and enjoy them more. I want more......

  • You guys are Awesome!!!! This version is better than the Original....WITHOUT QUESTION!!!!

  • Still bitter that they did not win. Best group I have seen on Sing Off. No disrespect to Committed. I loved every song Street Corner sang. Very talented. Thank you guys.

  • i can't explain what i feel when i hear this song you made....

i just love it! you've got such a talent!!!!

tahnk you for what you're doing!

    congrats from france!!

  • Every time I hear these guys sing, I want to be on a blanket outside, in the summer evening, drinking cold beer with all my friends. They just take me there.

  • Seriously dig Street Corner Symphony!! Love the fact they harmonise so well! AWESOME GROUP... keep it up, guys - I can't wait for an official album! :)

  • I know you guys didnt write it, but this song just helped me get through a break up. I listened to this song over and over when I felt shitty. Its a sad song but somehow it inspires and lifts you. You guys nailed it.

  • ..Perfection? I think so. [:

    Love this version. <3

  • AWESOME!!!!!

  • Hats off, guys. Stupendous version.

  • What the actual fuck. This is amazing.

  • Shut. Up. I have been looking for the studio versions of these songs for ages....Life=Made.

  • Okay so WHEN are these guys releasing a full album and touring to Vancouver? I NEED ME SOME SCS!

  • I want so badly to see them in person! I can't even imagine being able to be

in the same arena as they are. I know it would be a phenomenal experience!

I'll go one further. I would love to meet them and express to them how much

I am inspired by their music. I'm a solo singer and I strive to do the best I can,

    too!

  • Jeremy's voice on here is absolute purity! I love the sounds of the rest of the

group. I am blown away by the instrumental sounds that come out of their

voices! I especially love watching Mark McLemore and hearing the astounding

tones that come out of his mouth! Mark is a barrel of fun to watch! I loved

Down on the Corner, especially,, and everything they so masterfully brought

to us on the Sing-Off! I am so honored to have had this group sing into my

    ears! I can't wait for a CD!

  • You know how everyone comments saying how stupid everyone who voted down is... well no one voted down :D

  • you guys should do a studio version of all your sing-off performances IMO

  • I was pissed when the results show placed you in second place.... You guys are absolutely breathtaking! I have never had a more emotional attachment to an acapella song... When I saw that you had a studio version of this song I started sharing it with all of my friends immediately. You guys are the very best!

  • your voices give me chills!! one hundred and ten guys amazing!!

  • you guys are amazing !!!

  • Sup "LIL" John, yeah ive went over the "Hey soul sister " cover from the sing off I heard your voice a couple times, I'm upset you didnt get a lead in the group... But still I have to say your my favorite! On the other hand, Jeremy, I heard Just One Day, I love the song soo much, it gives me hope for some reason. I have a feeling you didnt intend it to give that feeling though. Anyways you guys houlda won The Sing Off. =-)

  • I saw you guys in Madison, and then (through a fluke) again the next night in Milwaukee.

My wife will kill me if she reads this, but I enjoyed your performances more than Ben's.

  • @tugboatwilliam I know. When he performed with them on the show it just didn't sound right. Not because of them, but him. They were all blended together and everything and he sounded out of place. And he is a great performer, but still. And every song they did on the show sounded better than the original as well. I dunno what it is .. maybe because they are so tight relationship wise?

  • I just saw these guy perform in Madison. It was like a out of body experience. It was amazing.... the sounds they make. :) this song was my fav. But they sang an original one that was amzing as well.

  • Saw your performance tonight in Athens, OH. This song was probably the highlight of the show for me. You guys were amazing.

  • amazing guys!!!!!!!!!

  • I love this song :) I wish i could sing as good as these guys!! xP

  • THESE GUYS ARE SO SO AWESOME FOR THE MAGIC THAT THEY DO IT TAKES SO MUCH TO MAKE THIS SOUND SO GOOD W/ NO MUSIC AND THEY DID IT TOTALLY THEY SHOULD HAVE WON

  • There was so much emotion! I liked it better than the original!! I remember watching them perform it on tv and i was amazed by how much emotion was put into the song.

  • This was done with voices only no instruments and it blew the original away. Pure and Honest. I love it.

  • Would love to hear a voices only studio version. You guys are good enough the effects are unnecessary. It does sound awesome however. Does someone have their finger in their lips moving it up and down real fast mimicking guitar strumming?

  • This left me absolutely breathless. The beauty of it made me cry. I could feel the hurt in my heart and body. You gentlemen are God's gift to the music industry. I actually love your version better than the original, and you give me goosebumps everytime you sing. I love you guys! Stay amazing. <3

  • please. sing at my wedding.

  • Amazing, AMAZING!!! Now who is going to write sings good enough for these guys? After they cut a few very oldies like Ring of Fire? The mixing is gorgeous, I can hear every one and hear all the words too- a rarity. I completely missed Creep while playing the Radiohead CD to death in grad school.

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You are all absolutely outstadning! I also hope you get picked up--you're just that good. Y'all planning on heading to Florida anytime? Tampa area? ~hopeful glance~

I would love to be able to see you all mix it up and change leads around. Love when a group is able to do that :) Jeremy is awesome, but, from what I heard, you all can hold your own.

  • Wow... I can't wait to visit Nashville to see you guys. The guy that sang most of the accompaniment is amazing i first noticed him on the beatles "Lonely People". You guys are amazing.

  • This is like the 100th time I've listened to your version of this song this week..

Yeahh.. and I loved your guys' choices of songs on the show.

    You guys are amazingg p:

  • Oh and this song wasn't just in my top 3 for performances on the show - it was THE top performance in my book! Amazing, and The Sing-Off was uber talent packed this year.

  • @iheartpets yeah it was i wanted commited..scs..otr and back beats to win..but not every one can wing.,..i just hope they get noticed...but this is a studio version..so maybe that is a good sign

  • Love you guys! I felt you were absolutely the most original group and had the most artistic potential for a full album. I did a cappella in college and adore your blend and cohesion as a group. You are AWESOME!!!!

  • Kinda unnecessary?

  • @lilroo5986 The best thing you can do is get as public as you can. Put out press releases about the contests you won, and any public performances you have. Once you start moving up Google/Yahoo search results when people search "a cappella Oklahoma", that's when people find you. If the producers can find you, they'll approach you to set up a private audition. That's what happened to my group before the first season, though we declined the audition. We're perfectly happy being small-time. :)

  • few things.

This was posted on my birthday lol

You guys Totally should have WON!

when i heard you on the first song of the first show (with all groups) i said-Woah! they're good!

'Little guy' you are soo cute! I love when i can pick out your sound out of the group like in hey soul sister.

I think that this was of my top 3 or 4 performances this year. and i LOVED all of them. Jeremy has such a good voice and a great stage personality.

All of you guys are so talented and you should have won.

  • Comment removed

  • They are amazingg <3

I love the voices, and LOVE the song choices [:

They should have won.. but I think they got it pretty good coming in second.. especially with all their fans :D

    <3

  • ugh they SHOULD OF WIN

  • I really love all the songs these guys do, but I am absolutely addicted to this song. I can't wait until more materiel is released.

  • Multiple orgasms just happened when I listened to this.

  • I had no idea you were in the group!

AMAZING job...the "drums" on this song, the rewind on Hey Soul Sista, the transitions on Come On Eileen, the effortless key changes in Down on the Corner...I have so many good memories of you guys from this show. I will buy whatever you record off of iTunes and any CD you make!

  • This sounds awesome! You guys all sounded amazing on The Sing Off. As a member of an acapella group myself, I gotta say that I really love how you guys blend so well, even during live recordings. Looking forward to more of your guys' stuff in the future.

(PS- A silly afterthought, but one day, I'm hoping to take a small group of talented guys from the group I'm in and audition for a later season of the show! Got any pointers? Heheh.)

  • When I first heard this (the studio version), I was a little disappointed because instruments had been added. Then I come here and discover it is all voices. Amazing!! I am SO looking forward to a CD full of this!

  • @RJDelk Guys from Street Corner correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure there are no instruments on this recording. All the sounds are vocals - heavily processed, but still vocals only.

  • @acapellafeller Yes...that's what I was saying. When I first heard it, I THOUGHT there were instruments, but then discovered here that it was all vocals. I love it!

  • I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee these guys..beautiful!

  • I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee these guys..beatiful!

  • Fantastic performance of a song that is a classic. You guys really captured the mood of the song and I still cant believe it all voices! The harmonies are beautiful the drums excellent everything is awesome.

I also love your Come on Eileen performance. You guys introduced me to that song :) very fun and poppy sound.

Cant wait to see what songs you guys will do next! I wish you all the best of luck and keep making beautiful music for us.

  • Dont matter to me who won the sing off. SCS are on their way. In a time where people are hungry for something honest, real, pure and authentic YOU ARE IT!!

I cant wait to hear everything you have to offer. Bravo!!!

  • I've listened to this over and over. It leaves me breathless. Without a doubt the Best by far. If I had to choose one song to listen to every day this would be it!

  • is that guitar at 1:47?

  • @cwentling23 Sounds like distorted guitars, but it's actually just distortion effects on our voices. -Richie

  • @richierich1976 That's incredible. Hope you guys come to Austin one of these days. Looking forward to seeing you live.

  • @2011stockholm Go to the CASA website and search for a Deke Sharon blog entry called "How to get on The Sing Off next year." There is at least one other blog entry from someone who describes their own experience at their audition for the show. Both will be very helpful.

  • @acapellafeller Thanks for the info!

  • Jeremy's run at 2:12 is freaking insane! I have replayed it at least 10 times!

  • It's just INCREDIBLE voices!!! I can't wait for your first album/CD.

  • It's just INCREDIBLE voices!!! I can't wait for your first album/CD.

  • I swear. Ya'll are so effing amazing. I just rape the repeat on this. No biggie. The beat boxing sounds like a legit drum set. SO amazing. Pleeeeaaaase tell me you're getting a record deal?!

  • No words. Freaking chills all over.

  • is this 100% vocal?

  • @cwentling23 Yep. Isn't it something? :)

  • Oh and also, hey there, knock on Mr. Folds' door! He's right there in town! He produced Amanda Palmer's solo record and did an amazing job--why not one for you? Start a kickstarter campaign! I'd donate in a heartbeat, and I have a feeling a lot of America would too! Or, do you have something else in your hat? I'll keep watching!

  • I really love SCS and was in their corner to win (though everyone was amazing.) However, I sort of think this has a lot of effects that aren't needed. Everything sounds wonderful, and had I not heard this on the show, it'd be perfect--but if that's not a real guitar, it sounds like there are too many effects to make voice *sound* like a guitar. I didn't think that was lacking in the original I saw on air. However, I love you all--keep rocking. I may make a trip from Knoxville to see you soon!

  • I love Street Corner Symphony

  • bought it yesterday...can't wait for their concert!

  • amazing.

  • Love it!!!! went to Freed when Jon was there....Jeremy's voice is beautiful!!! hope to see you guys in Nashville more often...

  • Great Job Guys!

  • You guys are absolutely amazing. The sounds you produce are mind-boggling.

I felt for the little guy because he never really got any camera time however, i'll bet he is an important part of that great harmony you produce. Beatbox guys...the best. The lead singer Jeremy has an incredible voice. I hope that Sony picks you guys up because I would buy your album in a heartbeat. Great job everyone!

  • @lazerjim123 Haha, as the "little guy," I can assure you that it's my job (when on an accompaniment part) to not be noticed. That's part of what makes the group so great. No one tries to grandstand when they need to blend. Now that we're off the show though, look forward to a little more diversity in the SCS "lead" parts. Don't get us wrong, every single one of us is a capable lead :-)

  • @strasseneckesinfonie Strassneckinfonie I I gave downloaded all your tracks and what I realize is that everyone is a standout performer. The beautiful part about Acapella is that you can hear each person in the performance distinctly. The bass and percusion are excellent, the harmony produces a pure and full tonal quality that reverberates right through you and I think you can all agree that Jeremy's lead voice is really good. Your rendition of Creep blows away the Radiohead 's version.

  • @strasseneckesinfonie Hey, "little guy," we know all six of you are rock stars--I wish there had been ten contracts available because every single group was awesome. I did have to half-chuckle when y'all started "Fix You" on the live show, at the five heads at one heights and then the one lone kid doing his own thing heightwise. ;-)

This studio version, BTW, kicks just as much ass as your live performance....

  • @strasseneckesinfonie ...The only air time I saw spotlighting John's singing was his backup on Eleanor Rigby which was really good. Actually, that's when I noticed that both Mark and Adam have great voices too. I have rarely gotten excited over musicians in the past 10 or 12 years, but you guys seriously ROCK!

  • @strasseneckesinfonie I noticed you since the beginning, that's what is great about SCS, we can hear each and all of you. Plus you are so handsome! The attention not given to you is what made me notice you!!!! I'm looking forward too, to something where we can hear a little bit more of the rest of you, not that I don't like Jeremy, I love all of you!

  • @strasseneckesinfonie - Dude- you're the little guy! You guys were great and although I loved every group this season - I think ya'll were the one I'd most pay to see. Committed is awesome, but I already have boyz II men albums. SCS brought a new sound to the mix. The Soul Sister song clutched it in my book. I've listened over and over to your performances and agree with lazerjim123. The judges should have recognized you for your contribution. Good job!

  • @strasseneckesinfonie wait you are part of scs!!!!!! you guys rock!!!! i can not wait for a cd..a demo...anything!!

  • @strasseneckesinfonie PLEASE COME TO GA!!!!! ATLANTA. ELLIJAY. ANYWHERE!!!!!

  • @strasseneckesinfonie Hey, "little guy" ...You, with your sweet falsetto/tenor are the olive in the martini, the A-1 on the steak, the salt on the margarita .. yes, the cherries on the cheesecake ....when your fans say they want to see more of you .. don't be modest! Just smile and take a bow and get out there for your fans! :)

  • @strasseneckesinfonie This is nothing short of phenomenal. I'm blown away.

  • This is mind blowing, nothing short of phenomenal. Acapella at it very finest. Thank you for perfecting your craft and sharing it with the world. I would love to her you guys sing Rob Thomas' "Street Corner Symphony"

  • @lazerjim123 Hey, there's other labels BESIDES SONY, maybe I'll sign the bastards to DaddyRichIsPoorMusic ? eh eh? Guys, i'll give you $5.00 advance each and a 12 pack of Miller High life lite!!! That's firm, take it or leave it! HA LOL. You know I love yall, now get outta here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean it!!!!!! OUT!!!!!!

    -rich

  • @lazerjim123 yeah me too they are so awesome. i was wishing they would win but not everyone can i hope jeremy's dream comes reality!

  • I rarely listen to the radio...haven't for years, so I never heard this song before the Sing Off. It's growing on me. This studio version is simply mind-blowing. I can't believe this is a Capella!!!!! You guys are simply awesome!

  • Awesome. Who mixed this? Bill? Ed?

  • @sdstever Ed. :-)

  • @strasseneckesinfonie Nice. I'll see you guys at Exit/In in January.

  • @strasseneckesinfonie Any chance of hearing full-length recordings of the other songs you guys performed on the show? I'd LOVE to hear Hey, Soul Sister in its entirety! My group is going to be learning that song next based on your phenomenal arrangement.

  • Yes, would love to see you live.

  • There's no doubt that Thom is a legend, and this has nothing to do with taking away from his genius, but I truly think that Jeremy actually sings this song better than Thom does. Not a slight to Thom, just that Jeremy is truly THAT good.

  • this is great, but these guys belong on a stage. ROCK IT.

  • When do you go on tour?

  • love love love

  • All I can say is WOW!

  • Pure class.
