I hope the story will be as good as the modeling. You can have the most wonderfull SFX in a movie but if the script is bad your movie will. A good story is still the most important part.

Fear not - we started writing it as a short story around a year ago now. This teaser was made when we thought we'd be filming a month from its release date...and would only be 15 mins long!

However, the story just grew & grew - & we are now up to the 7th draft and still writing!

Although we settled on the main story a couple of drafts ago, the rest is now refining the characters & the dialogue. Estimated release date is now 2011... :-)

One other thing - the few people that have read what we have so far have thought the project to be VERY ambitious - but are keen to see the finished result!

I also have a close friend who is a published writer and he will be perusing the final draft and advising accordingly...we want to make this the BEST that we can make it - with our limited resources!

However, I am responsible for the fire reflections and the camera animations - as well as the rest of the teaser! I'm glad you like it! :-)

Meant to reply to this a while back - I'm still writing the script...! However, it's recently undergone some major improvements, so should be worth the wait. I don't expect the film the be finished before 2010 now, at the earliest - even though I already have all my major actors in place!

Trust me - when it's ready, EVERYONE will know about it!! :-)

Change the face so it looks scarier. I've seen many 3D endoskeletons, and none of them had the face right. If you pull it off, you'll be the first!

The face is important. Everything else is secondary.

I'm aware of that - If you look below, I outlined that I made a conscious decision to go with this angle to make the "eyebrows" look more menacing. Believe me, I tried various angles, and this one looked the best!

When the film comes out the menace will come from the situation itself & the soundtrack, not the look.

I would change the look of the terminator's face at 45 seconds. He kind of looks like he is smiling. He needs to look more menacing

That's more to do with the angle of the camera - I had a choice between making the "eyebrows" look menacing (at the cost of the "smile") or getting a different angle on it - which didn't look as good for some reason.

Thing is, in the films, at certain angles, they have the same "smile" - and it kinda looks creepy...! I guess the surroundings have to match to pull that one off...you live and you learn!

That's cool - cos while it may not take long to film, it will takes MONTHS to do the Visual FX on this...! I have a lot of excellent help from one other guy in the 3D dept. - but everything else is being done by me...WHY do I do this to myself???? lol

Erm, I didn't change the lighting,OR the font - just added the flames and upped the resolution on the model from the test version you saw earlier this week...but thanks anyway!! lol
