Excellent band. This album is classic Priest, I love it. Halford has a mad voice. In the photo still above (back cover of the album), he is also still going through his late '70s Tim Brooke-Taylor lookalike phase..sorry, just thought I'd throw that in. He rocks.
Good thing I wasn't in the audience during this show. The temptation to go all "Enola Gay" and drop "Litlle Boy" would have been too much to control, while the surrounding crowd would have countered with a "Banzai" attack.
Probably would have gotten my ass severely beaten.
THAT's how powerful this music is. Unable to control the inner rage.
Unleashed is one of my all time favorite live albums. Not only did it capture the band at their peak, but it also cemented their sound in later studio recordings. Not a lot of live shows today can do that. This IS Priest.
@narggla68 Everyone knows Rob had what it takes at the time, there's an unedited version of "Evil Fantasies" from the show pulled off flawlessly; but sod's law gave him laryngitis on day of recording so he overdubbed the vocals (on the balcony of Ringo Starr's house IIRC). Everything else is as it was.
This album was epic and still is. It took somewhat bland and underproduced studio versions and showed what this band really sounded like. These guys live were the real deal. JP Forever!
0 dislikes, lets keep it that way, and if you wanna dislike is to be "cool" then not liking Judas priest is like not liking heavy metal. JUDAS PRIEST FOREVER!
I would play this album all day everyday and never get tired of it! Kicks fuckin' ass. Make sure you crank this full blast!
