The auto cover is equipped with a locked of/off switch, or is typically key activated. Only the person with the key would be able to put the cover in it's on or off position, in part for that reason.
The other thing I have to ask you, is how to prevent the automative pool cover from activating itself while someone is already in the pool? It's a safety issue.
