Chuck! Thanks for your response to my first song video (Christmas Tea For Two): had to laugh about the British Rail stuff, as I am a Brit and know it well:) I am working my way through your wonderful songs and enjoying them immensely! Have a bunch of new songs I want to post, so I will keep you posted. Best, Martin Rayner (martinrayner@mac.com)
I wanted to ask you since you're British, if u don't mind? How do you guys have such great musical talent? These lyrics are fantastic! Better than what I can write! Definitely love your country's music!!! The Beatles, Blur, Oasis, Rolling Stones, the Stone Roses...I can go on forever
@jphu154 because in Britain there is very little to do apart from sit at home in your little overcast town and start a band. Thank you though, i do enjoy this island and am very glad you enjoyed the song. :D
@ChuckDrinksMilk haha just like my hometown, nothing to do but drink, do drugs, and play music. I don't do any of those except music ;) Yeah keep it up, you're getting there! It's what I love about your country, the music!!! And I also enjoy the sightseeing places when I was in London, that and Abbey Road ;)
@reallyratherrevue What a sharp ear you have!!! This song is indeed a rewritten version of that song. I infact wrote both at the same time, it just happens i haven't used this until now ... it was infact recorded 6 months ago (the audio that is) x
@pronouncingvariables I like the sound of that :) Ok well, i'll give you the ground work and you can do the rest.... i play it on capo 2 and the chords are basically C C/B (or G) Am C/B... the "time to time" bit is like G then F. and the outro, i.e. "when the day drags on".... is F G C.. Hope that helps and i look forward to seeing this cover :) Please make sure you link it to me when it's down. I can not wait :) x
@ChuckDrinksMilk i can relate to it... i think you'll agree with me if i disagree to your use of the word joyfully, even though you were probably almost definitely being sarcastic

Particularly loved the line; "we may be late but we're still there", sums up the British rail network perfectly. Faved.
