I had freenas bit torrent client enabled and twice it messed up my freenas install. First, my webgui menus disappeared and then my torrent data did. This happened twice. I recommend NOT to use the FreeNAS bit torrent client. Yeah, it's nice, but it has some bugs, which is why I now see that Freenas v8 took it out, which is a good idea.
@Woofers11 I've had Transmission empty out the list of Torrents. This hasn't happened during download of torrents, but only when all my torrents are seeding. I have yet to track down the issue. :(
Hey can you guys do a video on how to setup a remote setup for the FreeNAS box? (Such as DYNDS.com url capability) to have your friends view and download files as well? PLEASE!!!
@SourNaik Hmm, that's an interesting idea. You'd create user accounts, grant them SSH access and then they could SFTP. Any of the other protocols (e.g. SMB) aren't very good over a WAN link.

did transmission work right away for you guys? when I have transmission enable it kills the entire NAS box after downloading for a while
