At the restaurant. We ran around in the rain for an hour and I'm still in shock that I met him. I'm still in shock that he hugged me. I also met Telly (walking back to the entrance, i spotted him walking to his car.) and i met Gwen (front entrance.) and Nicolette (outside of the restaurant.). Anthony's a sweetheart. I saw it in Charlotte (where i live) and then made my dad pay for a plane and tickets so i could see it again before tokyo. Best. Day. Of my life.

well... we talked about life. he asked me about school and about how i first saw Rent. and i started to cry a little because then we started to talk about his book. and honestly, his book was the only thing i could relate to for so long. he really is my hero. so.. when i started to cry a little, he gave me a hug. and yes, this august 2nd.

It is like if Robert Plant grabbed a mic with no instruments and did "Stairway"..it might sound totally different, but who cares, it is the type of performance that you want to see and dont get to see. if i learned anything from five years playing third and forth and worse-than-that clarinet, it's that all the parts of a song do not sound like the song's tune. seasons of love is an ensemble piece, when they are all sung together, it sounds like that. his part doesn't sound exactly like the tune, because its only one part.

actually, it wasn't a tiny bookshop. it's miami's borders in the middle of the gables, it was packed with rentheads and press. it was laced aisle to aisle, wall to wall with people. Secondly, he was singing through a mic that is used to tell customers that the store is closing, it's not exactly high quality equipment.

In person, he did a great job.
