And another thought rrff7755, obviously it's not correct when there is a huge portion of the population who are both college educated and republicans. Indeed republicans on average are more educated than democrats. That's a fact. So it appears the old adage of "those who cannot do, teach" is true with college faculty. Those who graduate and can DO, get a job, make real money and become republicans; while those who graduate and can't, teach and become democrats.
@StollandSon or maybe those with intelligence and ability who are more community minded are more likely to go into universities or the 1st or 3rd sector, making less money but arguably getting more out of their work, while those with intelligence and ability who are more individualist go into high payed jobs, want to protect their own wealth, and vote republican. professors aren't really there to teach so much as to research, anyway.
@rrff7755 Really same thought here. The majority of the views on college campus is liberal! Why is that? It can't be for no reason. Maybe the reason they are bieng harassed suppressed ect is because there views are somewhat ignorant. Ever think about that. Completely agree with you
What a strange coincidence that all the most educated, academic, intelligent people in the country, studying and teaching in universities, all hold more liberal views. maybe the message worth taking is that the more people learn and read and the more naturally intelligent they are, the more left wing they are.
@rrff7755 From the time of Plato, the point of college has been freedom of thought/exchanging and debating those thoughts. It's not about political views; it's about being free discuss your views without ad hominem attacks. In other words, to be able to debate the issues without being called a racist or some other name. That's not too much to ask. You can't say those views are right when you're scared to debate them without name calling; any elementary school debate student knows that.
ive watched most of this doc and i realize that the issues raised and views are almost entirely from a conservative perspective. Would have liked to hear more from a liberal perspective just to balance it a bit more
Oops...you're giving us an example of an exception. This isn't guesswork here, the stats are in, and an overwhelming majority if faculty from all sides of the nation are left leaning or radicals. This is also why major universities give so much to democrats for campaign financing (see university of California). A few conservative colleges have sprouted up to allow those students a (gasp!!!) choice.
The two times he did talk to the other side he got the cops called on him. The left knows to avoid debate and interview at all cost. They only seek to expand their agenda, not any real truth. Just ask the Duke 88.
Starve the beast. Dont attend University (you wont get a job anyway) and starve off these radicals and schools will change real quick. Make sure the word gets out to parents to. They are sending their kids to these schools thinking its all good and are clueless to whats going on.
@SeanP7195 - that's not going to work. The only way you can "Starve the Beast" is to cut public funding entirely. They will DIE instantly. When you listen to the stats given 1:3 students felt that the teacher's politics affected the students' grades. In short, without public funding they would lose 1:3 students because the consumer would vote with their feet.
Our universities were deliberately attacked, crippled by a smart, focused, motivated totalitarian leaning adversary. (What would have prevented such an attack from being successful? Open borders? Open campuses? Confusion that complete academic freedom should accept freedom eating ideas? Freedom is all but intellectually indefensible after being effectively over-run by complete nonsense. This took decades to break, it will take decades to fix. Marxism should be studied like cancer; cure?
All of these videos reminds me of William F. Buckley, Jr when he said "Liberals claim to want to give a hearing of other views, but then are shocked and offended to discover that there are other views."
Why do some college women insist upon speaking like they're still 10-year-old girls? The sound of that nasally, throaty, mousy voice is annoying as hell.
This is told in a slant, but it doesn't dicount the fact that some of the stories are quite disturbing. I have never run into an issue of politics being associated with subjects that are basic required courses. However I have seen social organizations be denied on campus because they were not politicaly correct ,or in line with the views of the school itself. But that could be a way to nix unpopular views due for P.R. reasons.
The funny thing is that at my college I've had teachers call Barack Obama a communist and fascist, deny Climate Change, insult Ted Kennedy only days after his death, claim that Bill Clinton raped someone, AND tell me that colleges are all liberal. It may be due to where I live (Southwest Missouri), but my circumstances are quite different. This has to be more regional than he makes it sound.
hes trying to indoctrinate u? hahah. i was wondering that too, i was thinking 'i wonder if i'm being indoctrinated from watching this' ... probably... just a little...
I don't have a shred of doubt that this is entirely one-sided. It's a shame that some people have been censored, but some of them deserved it or were walking a thin line.
@SeanP7195 To which of my comments are you referring? As I said, I attend a college with a very conservative leaning staff/administration. The main politics instructor on campus has been known to show Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly videos on the first day of class and often cuts down differing opinions. My point was that the bias has to be more regional than this filmmaker would lead us to believe. I'm just a moderate liberal atheist stuck here on the buckle of the bible belt. :/

@wolfe50 - If you want a "liberal perspective" just watch the news and attend college. This is the ONLY way you can get a sans Liberal Perspective.
I'd also like to point out the fact that there were Liberals. You simply weren't able to spot them.
