@girlgothiccheshire Dark Light are good SONGS but as an album it's below the bar. A song or two stretched over the other albums would have been better I think. Venus Doom was the darkest they ever did and Screamworks is another step in the right direction. The band progresses with every album.

@Catau93rl Well every band has to put out different types of albums and songs. I'm not saying they should change their sound up much, but HIM should be a lot more popular (the fact that all their songs are love songs is amazing. That is a really good conceptual idea for a band)! I saw them in Colorado and it kind of sucked that they were at a small venue with a bad sound system. Screamworks shows the upbeat side of love and I think it will help them win more fans.

@infacide64 yes i actually really loved Venus Doom i dont know how you can hear for example "love in cold blood" "sleepwalking past hope" "cyanide sun" "song or suicide" read the lyrics and not think it is a masterpiece those songs are extremely moving and unique and heartfelt and incredibly raw ,thats what good music is all about..its suppose to litterly move you or make you feel something..all 7 HIM albums have been able to do that to me in one way or another including VD....
