From my understanding, aside from marketing the heck out of the Volt, GM has been quite silent about its actual production. GM wont even say where the car will be manufactured; saying only it will be manufactured. Either way, great points.

"Up to this point General Motors has been extremely secretive about the car." Huh?? They've been promoting it at every opportunity, they even invited reporters into their battery testing lab. Toyota have been far more secretive about their PHEV project.
