its funny how everyone on this comment list who has nothing nice to say about generation Y can't seem to type a decent sentence to save their life. Seriously, check out some of these sentences! And btw, what kind of loser goes trolling through youtube pages looking for videos about young people, just so they can write hateful things about them? You say we're useless, HA! Get a life, hypocrites. Im not lazy-i work hard, i don't feel entitled, im not a greedy working-stiff like alot of boomers....
I totally disagree with dihle 12. Being the parent of two teenagers I am gravely concerned for the economic future my children and grandchildren are inheriting. Its a mess. we are not on the brink of an economic turn around we are the brink of a depression. This is the legacy the preceeding generations have left. And I'm not playing the blame game. We scream at young people about taking responsibility for their actions. Lets put our money where our mouths are and take responsibility for ours.
i'm 26. i work 60 hours a week. i am over qualified, with a college education, in a construction job. i am not lazy, but i guess i'm bad at sucking up to office management. dihle is kinda right about some kids. but gosh, in the late sixties, kids were so productive and hard working i wish i could be like that. kids are kids.
hey seductioness do you know you why people dont employ your age group because your lazy immature brats who are unreliable and cant do a decent days work time to get off mummys breast and grow up
5selfish brats that want every thing handed to them i agree with you melanielou it was harder life back them now the govermnet hands out to much money now days for nothing and of course they blame everyone but themselves worthless spineless drop kicks
@dihle12 um....not employing the whole generation would cause some serious economic issues....not all people from this generation are lazy, immature and useless. Some, like myself, are actually willing to work hard and get what needs to be done finished and completed correctly.
Millennials do have it hard, I'm first wave millennial I guess (1987), and it is so hard to get a job these days. It seems that all those with "experience" are getting the jobs...which leaves us who are young in the dust. Maybe if they actually give us jobs we'll have the experience they're friggin asking for!
i think that our gen(i was born in '92) has had it and is going to have in hardest in the job and schooling part of our life. Because the government has made so many mistakes. That our Gen will have to pay for in the long run. Like this war in Iraq. It costing us billions of dollars that we could be using to pay our nation debt which is over hundred billion dollars. One of the reasons we are so much more tech sevye is so we can keep ourselves informed on everything that is going on in the world!
Being a millenial, born in 1990, my entire teenage era was during the bush administration, and stilll is until sometime in january. Then I'll be 18 and either obama mccain or some other douchebag will be in office, and a new american depression just might be in full swing, RIGHT AS I'M FUCKiNG ENTERING COLLEGE.
I'll tell ya, it makes us feel damn ready to fight, but not in the way we see the kids on TV do , getting tased in the spine and tear gassed in the face no... We've gotta fight whithin the system, and eat it away from the inside like the big sick dying beast that it is. We want to survive, but more, we want to live. Why? Because we feel like we deserve to. Like pretty much any fine people do.
Yeah, not to mention our economy sucks balls right now. I'll be 18 in Dec and the competition to get into a good college and even a job is pretty fierce now. Generation Y has it bad entering the work force.
-Some kids are like madly gifted, and then you get the bums. it can be extremely other way.
-people hang out IRL less and less
-our lives kick ass, other generations b jealous.
and a bunch of other stuff i dont remember right now. and technically this is like america for the most part. other countries.. eh not so much except for japan (and china/korea in the future) im a 1994 millenium and proud! :)
Speaking of your last point - Did you know we have a tv show? Hmm maybe not the time to bring that up..have you seen our film the Lonely Russian? Maybe not the time for that either... We like number three will include it. Thanks for the help
ditto in what you said, especially point number 2 and 3, but the irony of what's going to happen is what you said in ur 1st point (i'm part of Millenials too btw, i'm born 1982).
Millenial Generation..what a funny generation!
we don't know how the world will turn out to be..i'm curious to find it out by myself too!
1984'er here--the dudes in our generation love zombies. If it's got zombies (or ninjas, or pirates), we love it. Kind of a trend that spawned out of nowhere. Not sure, exactly. But we love 'em.
Also, we're divided in half by our love/hatred of reality TV. Half of us can't seem to live without it (these people visit blogs and watch what OTHER people think/predict about reality TV). The other half really hates this half, and hates TV almost as if it's some form of stupid protest.
How about we talk about the past generation? the bastards who keeps clinging on traditions that are utterly useless to life.

Things they should know about our generation:
- A sad dependent bunch.
- Incredibly fragile and spineless.

What makes you say that? We'd be interested in some examples or reasons that lead you to feel that way

Bush fucked us.
That's about all we need to know.
Other than that you can't trust the government at all.
that's a known fact
and then they wonder??

-most people watching this video, because they have the opportunity are incredibly selfish and self-centered and wondering how they will survive.
-Tv counts as a place to go.
-We have constantly improving technology which is pointless to have once the energy finally dies.
-Despite having more than other generations, suicide is more common. Meaning this generation lust for more in life is evil.
-the more attention this generation gets, the worse.
(take it all with a grain of salt)

- Our generation is predicted to the be first, to do financially worst then our parents.
- We want lifestyle not just money because most people either have money and no time or they have time but no money.
- We want to belong to something great and make a difference and not just another carbon unit sitting at a cubical.
- Our generation is bearing witness to the slow decay of the middle class over the next 50 years.
- What vodka did to the Russians is what TV is doing to us!
