One of my favorite songs ever. In my opinion, it's relaxing, calming, and puts me in another place - a carefree kind of place. It may just be me, but I just feel like all of the stressing things of life just go away while I sit back, close my eyes, and just smile. I came over to listen to this version just to hear how it sounded. Can't say I liked it. Doesn't mean the guy isn't talented, but not everyone hits a home run every time they come to the plate. Sometimes even Albert Pujols strikes out.
That's one of the good qualities that Jason has and many other artists don't. He doesn't pander to a crowd and he doesn't care what people think of his music. He loves to play his own music and have fun with it. And you know the only reason he covers songs is because he loves the original too, but he wants to see what it sounds like if he put his little twist on things. There's no reason to hate him for it. In fact would should be commending him for being brave enough to try something new.
His covers are so stripped down and simple, thats one of the reasons why I like them; he doesnt try to be the original. I feel you cant really compare them. He's doing his own thing and paying homage to some other great artists in his own way

Interesting adaptation , but maybe it's just me, Scatting is for Jazz, not soft rock. People today always want to make the song complex with verstile singing, but one of the reasons the song worked originally, was it's purist simple melody and groove. The simplicity is what made the song work, No doubt this guy has a talent, but he over did the song completely.

Man, I love this cover by Mraz. I wanna do a rap remix to this, they need to get an unused 2Pac verse and let him do the hook, that would be awesome! I wanna do a remix to this, and I won't quit workin untill he acknowledges it, this could be a cool track for the new age...if u think u can drop somethin tight on this track, let's hear it! I hate it when people get mad at jason for covering songs! He's not trying to be better then the original artist he is just having fun and covering a great song. He has an amazing voice and he can cover any song he wants. My god leave him alone!!!!

This is NOT the album version of Jason's cover. There's an album version that sounds much more like the original. Ever heard of acoustic?
Besides, his voice can MAKE a song on its own. His voice is reason enough to listen something itself.
