Really cool stuff... how long did it take you to build that sorta speed, obviously it's different for people cause they practice differently, but for you? I practice between 1 -2 hours a day moeller technique, is it one of those things that takes 5 years or like a year or 2? :)
I started doing it naturaly, I never watched a video or anything it just felt right... dont get caught up on the details just grab some sticks and start flowing up and down with you're rolls, it will come to you.
it just puts you in a swinging motion to increase feel and consistancy, instead of a static position trying to use the same power level and technique, moeller strokes flow up and down in motion and power, much easier to control and maintain.
Man... just try the triplets with one hand (whip, tap, upstroke), without pause, and slowly. You will understand inmediatly. After that, speed up your triplet... and practice everyday, always relaxed. In a few days, you will see some improves in your technique.
No, "alternate" means that after the first stroke of the triplet in your right hand, you start doing the triplet in your left hand. Repeating the triplets in that way, it will sound like this:
u don't use fingers they r not involved its all the arm motion as a "whip" and u let the stick do the rest after the first big stroke

Extremely useful video especially for a beginner like me! This technique will definately help with the faster paced songs.

It's a pretty sick technique, but does it have to be done in traditional grip?
CharybdusRage 3 years ago
No it can be done using matched grip. The left hand mirrors the right hand. It does work.

well,if you do what i thought, wouldnt that turn into kind of a triple rebound roll, which shouldnt cut your speed?
kingmajin 3 years ago
mmm... I'll try to explain but I'm not english.
The first thing in the technique is the motion, the rebound is an important fact but... it isn't a rebound roll.
Moeller technique is good because you do those triplets with both hands without a pause. Then, you alternate the triplets.
I hope you understand.

but HOW is my question....

I hope it helps! ^^

full triplet in one hand, than full triplet in the other?
kingmajin 3 years ago
No, "alternate" means that after the first stroke of the triplet in your right hand, you start doing the triplet in your left hand. Repeating the triplets in that way, it will sound like this:
RWhip-LWhip-RTap-LTap-RUpstroke-LUpstroke-
RWhip-LWhip-RTap-LTap-RUpstroke-LUpstroke... etc...
HenBanKeN 3 years ago
that sounds pretty hard to do
kingmajin 3 years ago
practice it bro! I'll put up a more in depth video for you! promise!

kingmajin 3 years ago
