What I don't get is that Nastia made a 17.000 on bars and Shawn made a 15.350. Nastia did have great skills, but Shawn did too. The thing that throws me, though, is that Nastia had a bad landing on her dismount.

@Kodi091000 its because shawn doesnt have as much difficulty as nastia. nastia has a 7.7 so if nastia does a perfect routine she gets a 17.7 but shawn can only get like a 15.9 or something like that so she can never be as high as nastia

@Kodi091000 Nastia's routine has a much higher start value. If you watch it, there are a lot of very intricate pirouettes, etc. which adds difficulty and gives her a higher score.

@the feat loge yea she is amazing haa. But she's not wayy better than nastia, they both have their strengths & weaknesses. And nastia has explained that she doesn't have a bad attitude ( though it might look like it) she's just really focused! All gymnasts r different

@recentdan123 they probably are harder. I've never done a routine on the men's high bar but I know that women's uneven bars are pretty hard

@recentdan123 idk about the high bar... probably womens... but the rest of the mens events i knoware EXTREMELY difficult and take ALOT of strengh... much harder than all of the womens events

@gymmonkey4life harder is maybe not the best word you're looking for. takes more strength? yes. but i would bet that most of the men could not score well on any of the women's events--minus vault--they would lack artistry which is just as difficult. they are uncomparable as to how "hard" they are. both reach beyond limits you'd ever think were possible.

I noticed in this routine she does an extra kip right after her transition to low bar...usually she goes right from low back to high..maybe she didnt have enough speed? good routine though!

@kaytg89 if u pause it when she catches the low bar, you can see that she's not in a handstand so she didnt have enough time to bring her feet to the bar to do the toe shoot so she had to do the extra kip.

@kaytg89 Yes, she normally transitions back to the high bar straight from her shoot over, but she wasn't all the way in handstand, so it would have been too hard.
