@madmartigan21 im well aware of that but i just cant believe that Ray would destroy his masterpiece like that. for those who have not read the book, just watching the move doesnt do the book or Ray justice.... just my two cents....
I still can't believe Disney made a movie of this book. It's honestly one of the scariest things I've ever read because of the symbolism in it (and the carousel - I mean, seriously, the FREAKING CAROUSEL O_O).
But then again now apparently Guillermo del Toro wants to do a reboot of The Haunted Mansion, so...yeah...dark side of Disney lol

@WumWip yeah, they were hurting bad in the 80s and were desperate for any project at the time that would make money from the teens and young adults that "wouldn't be caught dead going to a disney movie".
@DeathByBlunderbuss Me too, I thought, I'm 25 now. But when I was a kid I thought it was the grandma who adopted him, and he just called him dad for the hell of it. Plus he didn’t know what else to call him anyway, lol. I remember this use to scare the hell out of me, but now it’s just so kick ass and well casted, evil, Ranfield laugh.
