  • In this video Ernie reminds me of a colleague of mine...

  • hahahah I LOVE Ernie and Bert

    they are so cute ^^

and i love those little clips with both of em

Ernie always seems to annoy Bert

but their still so cute !

=] ahh those were the days...

  • That book that Bert is reading in the beginning is the same book he is reading when Ernie plays the rhyming game.

  • LOL! OMG, this is too much! I don't remember this one. At first I thought Ernie had hit the caffeine bar a little too hard. :)

  • What is so interesting on cooking with Oatmeal? (look at Bert's raising his brows)

  • I would of laughed if ernie said "the toast you put in the toaster is on burning"

  • Was really expecting Bert to faint at the end...I guessed wrong!

  • bert and ernie show is great and funny show

where's is icarly and sam puckett...

  • Relax, Bert. Just get a couple of new pieces of toast, put them in, and TURN THE SETTING DOWN!

  • Obviously before toasters had settings! :D

  • my toaster has settings and I still manage to set the smoke alarm off!

  • We once stayed in a motel room where whenever we made toast the super sensitive smoke alarm went off, and the toast wasn't even burnt.

  • Berts reaction at the end is priceless!!!!I always laugh when that part comes up!

  • I still find the old Bert and Ernie sketches funny. Too bad Sesame street and other Jim Henson programming have degenerated over the years since his passing. Thank god people post the Classic sketches on youtube so people can remember how entertaining Sesame Street was in it's prime.

  • yeah...they should bring them back...these bits are timeless

  • love it!

  • I think these guys were hanging out with Bushman Bill too much.;)

  • Speakin' of Bushman Bill, anybody got Be My D?

  • Yeah I haven't seen that one in a long time and I've been looking for it for months on here.

  • I never even knew this one exsisted. Do you think it was eventually banned because of the fact they sort of made a joke over a fire?

  • That would not surprise me in the least. We were all so much happier in the early 70's (at least kids were...I do realize the early 70's were hellish for adults).

There is no greater formula for a happy later life than to have had an INNOCENT childhood, and I feel so lucky that I had that. Innocence is something today's kids are completely lacking and they'll regret it in their adult years when they have NOTHING that can be remembered fondly.

  • Well, to be honest, we'll never know exactly how "innocent" todays kids are compared to '70s kids, since said '70s kids are now adults and can't very well compare, and the modern kids certainly couldn't tell you how "innocent" THEY are.

Still, I think you're right in that it was a bit easier back then for kids to be unburdened by the weirdness of the adult world (at least middle-class kids).

(Actually, I was an innocent '80s kid, but then I was always a bit out to lunch anyway... :)

  • hahaha

  • LOL! Bert should be more concerened on whether the apartment is on fire! Great skit

  • Exactly...Ernie could've saved a lot of time and gotten to the point by yelling "Fire, Bert...FIRE!"
