Nice video. However I found the shower flower to be a bit too slippery, and it tended to peek out though the hair, not matter how much i put over it.

OTOH I had very good results by making a top ponytail with several large volume scrunchies. My hair piece is a near exact match for my hair so it worked really well

There were special hair pieces available in the 60's and 70's that were already styled and could just be clipped on to create specific styles.

This video is great, i was able to do the hairstyle really quickly. I didn't have to bun my hair because I have a lot of extensions. I put two ratted ponytails in a pair of fishnet pantyhose and it worked really well. It lasted through a night of partying and i actually slept on it, worked fantastic!

Try to achieve this style without the filler, as per my other 1960's tutorial. You could just use a section of your own hair up in a bun type shape,using a bun net for more security and plumping it out without having to wind it in tight. You really only need enough hair in the front section to effectively smooth over the filler section, so you could use almost half your own hair. Use pins that are long, try pushing them in sideways and then twisting them in further in a downwards direction.
