I liked it. I`d like to visit some traditional markets though....I bet there`s some really odd things for sale there. I always remember seeing giant pig heads for sale at some markets in Korea...I didn`t buy one though....no idea how to prepare a pig head!!! hehe
From all the different video blogs from yourself and others... Japan is pretty OK on public drinking and 'boozin it up' in general, yes/no? I'd guess you'd also have to stay in line though, I bet the cops there don't put up with too much.
Consumption of alcohol in public is legal. You see many businessmen having beer while waiting on the train platform after work or walking home having a brew. Of course you are right, Japanese police will apparently mess you up if you start acting like a jack-ass!
I had those before when I was in Japan. I liked them a lot. It was almost like Candy to me. I had it with one of those large Kirin beers that look like a mini keg where you need a co2 capsule to pump it out.
hehe, of course. I guess anything that has the very word 'japanese' in products in the west is seen as top quality product...well at least i think so anyway.
When i buy japanese goods (including sake) they always seem to be better looking than their the domestic counterparts.
is it summer ??

I don't recommend the ume sake jelly. Especially the one with the ume in it, I had a few that really turned my stomach.

Damn....those mini kegs look awesome. I haven't bought one yet, but have been admiring from afar! Maybe my day will come soon :)

Cool, did you get that in Hiroshima or Kobe? I'll have to find some before I go.

I bought it in Hiroshima at a little shop close to my hotel....close to the Peace Park.

Ahh, it's great to know the culinary Jello shots have made their way overseas!
NichiBeiTrader 3 years ago
They seem somewhat more classy in Japan than they did in my college days for some reason!

It must be the cool packaging! ;-)

I'll need to try it when I get the chance.

I think you're right! Put some "electric jello" in a cool package, add some kanji....then I'm sold!
BusanKevin 3 years ago
Never seen that before! I gotta try some!!!

Yes you do! They are worth it! :)

i've never tried alcoholic jellies. I'm always tempted to try the vodka jello shots during parties, but it always doesn't cross my mind to doing so.

These things are so much classier than party-style jello shooters....mind you....I supppose they can have their place as well!

Like NichiBeiTrader said....must be the cool packaging! You're right....the appeal seems to become so much greater! Ah well....tasted great! :)

Sometimes, only rarely, I regret not drinking. This is one of those times.
