@tonchegurl1 Wow your retarded, many asian parents use to or do bathe their children this way, it helps the baby's muscles,aswell as relaxes them, and just makes bath time alot more fun for the child, the baby's head is obviously not supporting her full body weight because she is in a tub of water, so no its not like holding your child by the neck, if it hurt she would cry...and it doesnt take much pain to make a baby cry...so its safe to say its not painful in any way...

This isn't actually cruel. Think about it, what are babies floating around in when they are in the uterus? Does the baby look distressed? It is a form of exercise and 'play' for the baby to have it's arms and legs free to kick and flail around in the water. The floaty helps that.
