ive only flown on an a320(JFK-MCO), 757(JFK-CCS), DC-9(DTW-GRR)and an a319(DTW-JFK). out of all of the planes i love the 757. I flew on american airlines for JFK-CCS. The flight was amazing. i didnt feel a thing when we entered the clouds. on the way back the take off was turbulent (as always) but smooth ride man. i love boeing

I filmed a few 757's taking off and the jet blast wasn't too bad. I then made a mistake and filmed a Corsair A300 or A330 taking off. The engines were much bigger than a 757's. I estimate I was getting hit with 80mph winds and the damn sand kept blasting me in the legs. It was a fun experience though, getting to experience the power of a jet engine and how much air they move.

Not that easy since it is very popular place and i'm sure somebody would either report suspicious behaviour or stop it. There is a bar on one side and very busy hotel on the other side of this very spot. My final comment, what would the other option be? Hey, I'm 13 (profile says 25) I'm gonna become a pilot someday. I you are 15 then you can start getting lessons at a local airport. At Galt (my local airport) the owner has a sign that says "Learn to fly: $45, Learn to land: $4,500." it's not cheap to become a pilot but in the end you get paid ALOT!!!

The easy way is to join the Air Force/Navy and let them pay for your pilot training - and almost guarantee you a job when you get out as a skilled pilot with a few years of experience!! Good luck!!

The short answer is NO - the engines would scrape the ground if the wheels are not down. Can the wheels be 1 foot off the ground - sure - but not for long - the angle of the plane will either take off (more power) or lang (less power) but never just sit 1 foot off the ground!!

I work on the ramp at PHX, and driving 50 ft behind a 757 gives me a not-so-healthy dose of jet blast, and that's at idle thrust. Full t/o power? Forget it!
