  • That cat is pretty damn good at making music!

  • is that an ondes martenot you have in the back ground. where did you get your hands on one???

  • i like your cat <3

  • 2:45 AAAAH!

  • but will it blend?

  • this is the first time i see someone using this to actually make something that sounds good

  • @15000volts listen to Daedelus

  • 2:50 more music

  • 1:23 music

  • I really wish I had the capabilities to figure out what the fuck was going on while you were playing that.

I couldn't for the life of me learn how to play one of those. But I REALLY. WANT TO.

  • THIS JUST CLICKED! YOU SOUND JUST LIKE RAY LYNCH!!!!!!

  • ha you do some synth voodoo and then a cat shows up. That always happens.

  • Great video! Where can I buy one of these?

  • @NanoTrout1

this model is about $1400 from monome(dot)org

  • 5 people got flippin’ confused by the crazy flashing lights and pressed the dislike button. O.O

  • Where can I find all of you patch uploads in one place?

  • Is this only on 256? And How do you add songs/ loops to the clips? (I have a nonome)

  • This guy deserves more than 36k views. This is awesome.

  • Cheaper option-Buy a novation launchpad for about £100 and then use nonome; a monome emulator :)

  • in my opinion, i think it would be cooler if you actually played this on the xylophone but whatever

  • @wes1324567 gtfo

  • CAT :D

  • ahhhh i really would like one. A question: Would one need to use a monome in conjunction with a computer all the time?

  • sweeet!!! I hope one day to be fortunate enough to own a 256 and an ondes martenot, writing applications for monomes.

  • funkiest instrument eva

  • LOL in the tags you have "CAT" hahha your cat is funny

  • cats r so indie!

  • i so want a monome but they dont make the 40h anymore =(

  • @1pure0water0my0ass1 launchpad+nonome

  • Finally someone who can use a monome for something other than annoying chopped up loops.

  • WoW! that was pretty :D

  • remember me tenori on :D

  • DJ cat gave you superpowers!

  • Very fascinating, thank you!

  • so neat!! thanks for sharing.

  • Typical youtube garbage comments. Rest assured, I'm sure stretta is above the nonsense. Excellent work.

  • that last song was amazing...

  • Cat seems to disapprove. =(

  • Cool!

  • The last bit just kicked ass:D Moar!

  • from 2:24 to 2:40 that's just an insane beat, I wish I could create stuff like that.

  • THATS INSANE!

  • Press Cafe is my favorite... of coarse, I think I would like it on a smaller size...

  • goddamn is that an ondes martenot in the background??!!

  • its seems as an ondes martenot or a french connection... amazing

  • @djmaf Noticed! Awesome!

  • that last groove was awesome

  • Ahhhhh, why did you stop!!!!

  • <3 <3

  • how much are they??

  • $1400 + shipping. The question is, WHEN are they available again?

  • He must have practiced HARD! It woud of taken me a mont to get that good.

  • i think this is the coolest sounding use of the monome that i've ever heard. i still don't understand what's going on exactly, but it sounds awesome.

  • hi, i am really interested in getting a monome or arduinome but i am a classicly trained musician who cannot understand all the computer and electronic music jargon, do you no of somewhere where i can find a simple explination of how to run a monome?

  • nice cat lol

  • is this souljaboy?

  • no, he's in the background when people go on safari (Y)

  • I don't think SouljaBoy is anywhere near as talented as this guy.

  • @SforzandoFilms Who said SouljaBoy had talent to start?

  • nice dog :P :P

  • i like the cat.

    nice vid.

  • the thing i like about this is you can hear the music (obv) and SEE a perfect visual representation of music.

  • two fifty six: scheduled for mid 2009

    $1400 plus shipping (northamerica $26, international $110)

100 units were introduced in september 2007. they sold within a month. 100 units introduced august 2008.

  • Great! But the best is the cat xD

  • dude how much are these and r thy easy to find??

  • wow it is so cool

  • ooooh, I can dig it. n_n

  • You can get some fantastically complex cross rhythms with that program. Love it.

  • This is a great implementation of sensible idea.

  • can you tell me why monome is so expensive and why should use it?

    Thanks,

    Riccardo

  • OOO OK THAT IS PRITY COOL!

  • KITTY.

Also, amazing device. I wish I had the money for one.

  • yeah, it looks like he had to sell one of his sleeves to buy it

  • LMFAO

  • AHHHHHHHH!! :))) i like it. i might get the 8 x 8. its more of a sampler / drum machine than a keyboard.

  • You should get it. It is awesome. However, the 64 isn't any different from the 256 (or 128), except for the number of buttons it has. One isn't 'more' or 'less' of a sampler, drum machine, or a keyboard than another one. Just more/fewer buttons. That is the only difference. What software you run is totally up to you. (press cafe works on the 64, BTW)

  • @stretta i want one sooooo bad :( there like 400 dollars for a 64 button one

  • what was the bass from?

  • the bass was from a voyager

  • i love synth bass, that was a pretty cool synth bass sound you had going. how are the other bass presets and leads?

  • am i right thinking this will also work on the 40h/64? its even better than flin! x

  • yup. It'll work. You might want to set the pattern length to 8 instead of 16 on the pattern length page.

  • awesome. Ive only just ordered my 64 so i havent had chance to test it, but how does the 64 stand on the scale side of things with only 8 columns? can you set which note each column plays or something? sorry for all the questions!

  • Depends on the application. With press cafe, you can choose from several pitch maps or create your own.

Congrats on the 64. You're going to love it.

  • Isn't it unnecessary to cut one sleeve shorter than the other?

  • wow thats awesome!

  • kitty

  • Excellent!
