It will be perfect for ya man. I heard from taller riders that they actually feel kind of cramped on the iron. It a perfect fit for the average size guy. You shouldn't have a problem at all, but you could always get a Harley Reach Solo Seat. They are designed to push you a little more foward. Best thing you could do is go to a dealer and sit on one.

well yeah that's a very Harley sound but in this particualr case i think its more because of the Vance & Hines Straightshots exhaust. I think Shortshorts are better though

The bike would not become any less harley. It's all personal preferance. I just toned mine down because it was to loud. Different pipes or exhaust have different sounds independent of harley. Harley riders are some of the coolest people around and very hospitable.

To all those that say the bike is small do some research it is the exact same bike dimensions and all as the 1200. The engine is smaller but the 883 weighs 3lbs more than the 1200. Can not bore out the engine its walls are too thin.

i was talking one of the mechanics at HD and he said you could bore it out for 2 grand which is still cheaper than a nightster and you dont have to tell insureance which will save you money also.

In Texas, the 1200 kit comes w/ new jugs for around 800, installed 1400. Also the bikes here come w/the chopped fender w/ side mount plate. I think they both are outlawed in canada. As for LOUD, hell its a Harley! However there are some new eletronic stuff out that you can control the sound with the flick of a switch. As for the fender, I would chop it or change it out and screw the cops.

for those of you deciding between the iron and the nightster i would sugest geting the iron and boring it out to a 1200 for like 2 grand and it is also cheaper for insureance

You cant bore out the cylinders in an Iron, HD made the walls too thin so you can't just do a 1200 conversion. You have to buy all new cylinders, and by then you might as well have bought a Nightster.
