@ladyjosephinelover Actually, everyone, without exception, is required to study English (and only English) in school in Japan. The average person studies English for about 6 years. Most people understand basic English like colors or numbers or simple questions like "What's this?". Japanese people also use a lot of English in their everyday lives, just like we use many borrowed words from other languages, I have to admit that there aren't many highly fluent English speakers in Japan though ;(

I live in Sweden, and love the Harajukustyle like decora and gothic/ kuro and sweet lolita. It's just sad that I almost never see people in the city with this kind of style, even though I know many! ^-^ I'm glad that Japanese subculture and fashion gets more and more popular, since it's so beautiful and makes you happy.
