I'm tired of hearing "If colt was in the game we would have won." Well first off, If colt was in the game Alabama would have played a completely different defense on them more than likely. & Second of all, A good team should be able to compete with anybody even if one player is hurt. I'm a Michigan Man so I am completely unbiased here. Alabama earned this victory because it was the better team. Alabama lost their Heisman winner Mark Ingram and the next guy (Richardson) stepped up admirably. Texas' lost their star QB and the next guy (Gilbert) made too many mistakes down the stretch. That's what happens if you don't have adequate depth. Gilbert is a great QB but he wasn't experienced enough to win the game. You need to have two QBs that you can win with. Texas didn't.

Gilbert "unloaded" on Alabama in the 3rd quarter because Alabama went into safe mode at that point; the offense only got 3 yards, and Ingram didn't even play a down. Then when Texas started threatening, Alabama took care of business.

I'm a Michigan Man so I am completely unbiased here. Alabama earned this victory because it was the better team. Alabama lost their Heisman winner Mark Ingram and the next guy (Richardson) stepped up admirably. Texas' lost their star QB and the next guy (Gilbert) made too many mistakes down the stretch. That's what happens if you don't have adequate depth. Gilbert is a great QB but he wasn't experienced enough to win the game. You need to have two QBs that you can win with. Texas didn't.

@josh19852008 Texas had run a whole 4 plays before McCoy got hurt; unless those 4 plays constituted half the fucking game, you don't have a point. Gilbert "unloaded" on Alabama in the 3rd quarter because Alabama went into safe mode at that point; the offense only got 3 yards, and Ingram didn't even play a down. Then when Texas started threatening, Alabama took care of business.
