Great 8mm or super 8 stuff. Nice to see Ontario Place the way I remember it as a youth. That area on the film was called "childrens village", These days kids are not allowed to swing and climb in that fashion... too bad, never hurt me or my friends as we ran, rolled, jumped, swang et et...
Thanks so much for posting this! I'm from the UK, but we visited friends in Toronto in 1977 (when I was 6) and we went to Ontario Place. I don't remember all that much about it, but I do recall the big dome thing and sliding down the red tubes that you can see at 2:39!
omg. I remember that place. Looks just like it was when I was there as a kid. brought back some awesome memories I haven't recalled in forever. Thanks for posting! Too bad it's torn down now, it's not like we were jumping on asbestos!
man i remember this too, back then they had the gameboy and lego up in the big white building and the big jungle gym, and today its gone, only you have those childhood memories to remember the park what it was.
I was about 8 years old in 1975 and my mom used to take us there to enjoy Children's village. I had such a good time there. It's too bad they torn Children's village down.
Thanks for posting this and letting me relive some good times !
OMG! AWSOME! I used to luuuv Ontario Place - the slides, the massive rope nets that were held together with onions (at least that's how my 5 year-old self perceived it), the vast expanses of jumpiness and slidiness, the forest of punching bags and those insane rubber bouncy thingies. But my brother and I always laughed scornfully at the people renting the paddle-boats: we had a cottage and so paddle boats were soo grandma and grandpa with sun hats and bloody ceasars.
I can't believe they are closing Ontario place :(

I loved this place when I was a kid. I just realized you can see the CN tower still under construction at 0:08 in the background.
