My biggest fear is Google accidently destroying something I've been working on for a long time or something crazy like that happening!
So I think it's a nice idea but when I do word processing is mainly when I tear myself away from the internet otherwise I'm checking facebook, myspace, youtube, etc etc :)
Which doesn't work out well for the online-only services.
I'm definitely interested to see what MS comes up with for online Word and Excel. If they do it as well as their desktop application that would be pretty sweet.
I'm with you AusLinkOrg, I'm doing the desktop apps as well and unless something relaly changes my thought process I think I'm staying with them for the foreseeable future.
maybe im being paranoid but i wouldnt like using these apps online when they are already offline

I prefer to localize on the web, but until the online office apps step it up, I will stick to the desktop.
