small world, i also have typew 1 diabetes, my name is colin and im 12 years old, this is the story:

when i was 11, (earlier this year sincer my b-day is the 18 of august) it was easter time 2011 and my mum was in africa, but i was so thirsty that i finished all the drinks in the house within a week and keep urinating and falling into deep sleeps, i was lso losing wight without trying, my parents detected smething was wrong, so they took me to the clinic and i was diagnosed as type 1 diabetic

I also have diabtetes i am twelve i made a video on how i check my blood suger and all that but instead of finding a cure for diabetes lets try and find a cure for cancer becuz instead more people die from cancer my best friend died from cancer i miss him.

I am Type 1 diabetic myself, and like you, people have told me there is no cure, but, that doesnt mean we cant stay strong, and fight for what we need. I think more people need to hear about type 1 diabetes, because, it can happen to anybody. Please have faith and hope for all diabetics.

Diabetes, whether it is Type 1, 1.5, or 2, I think it should be nicknamed TYPE ALONE. I am 15 and even though my parents really care, they don't know what it is like. Friends don't really care too much since they don't have it. People with Diabetes have a lot more to worry about then just blood sugars.

Allie! Excellent video! I've been diabetic since the age of 7 - have had the D for 42 years - and am living a good life still! Education is a big factor in living healthy - and like you say - it's made me into a better person! Keep on spreading the word!

@num1ubernacht Last time I checked you could not fake Type One diabetes since it is an autoimmune disease. Every Type One I know does NOT REPEAT NOT enjoy it. If you think needle are fun you might need a smack in the face from reality! The irony is, most Type 1diabetics now are in better shape then your average person without. With the intro of designer faster acting insulins, poor glucose control is quite literally a thing of the past. Remove the cause of complications, and you will see much less, or none at all.
