HAHAHA My brother-in-law did that yesterday. He swam out into the ocean because he likes to check to see if he'll hit an invisible wall or encounter some other type of glitch and he ended up getting eaten by that thing. It was funny because he actually jumped when it happened. It scared him.

There are fin-like and fish-like parts in the creature creator. Maybe you could make a creature that looks aquatic (you know, without arms or legs) and pretend to be an aquatic creature that way.

There was an aquatic phase and it was meant to be between cell and creature, but it was cut. There are confirmed expansion pack plans so watch out for an aquatic expansin

Well the game isn't that good. A lot more than just the swimming phase has been taken out. Like the combat in the creature phase: Theres no more gore and instead of using tactics and actually using your brain, you just click on an enemy creature every two seconds when your bite recharges. So instead of creatures actually dodging and weaving like what we saw in the 2005 demo, the creatures just stand in one place taking turns to do a repeated bite animation (which doesn't actually touch...

...the other creature). I played the game on normal difficulty and I completed the tribal phase in under an hour using no tactics whatsoever. You just have to repeat the same things in all the phases: get resource, click on enemies, improve creature/tribe/city/planet. And thats pretty much it. Yeah, I was VERY dissapointed it had become a point-and-click game. I'm planning on trying the Civ phase on Hard, because on easy people don't attack you at all. You just pulverize them as soon as they emerge. But you have to admit, the creators standalone are pretty fun.

I think it also sucked that they gave the game a point. It went from a do whatever you want, rule your empire sort of game to one where you are constantly either

a) Ferrying Spice

b) Doing missions.

Or some combination of the above. I thought it was a game where you do whatever you want, and tell OTHER people what to do, not the other way around.Furthermore, the civilization and tribal phase had no depth whatsoever and the creature phase was an unstrategic arcade game. Spore 2 better be good.

Lol with these reviews i dout like really, civl i was waiting for and then turns optu i beat in a hour with nukes. In space stage my planets get attacked like every 2 minutes, i take over a planet but must pay to fill up on gas, there is no poitn of dying dying dosn't matter in this agme lol.
