@29ting She didn't 'sign herself into rehab', she was put there by Cowell, and when her 3 days were up she left. 3 days. She then did 22 out of 28 shows on the tour and recorded her album.

I suppose you could have handled those 7 weeks on the talent show better, all by yourself, with absolutely no one to protect you from the tabloids and the press.

As far as I can see the only abnormal thing she did was sign with Cowell instead of suing him.
