Heh, Lisbeth Salander listens to this near the end of The Girl Who Played With Fire.In the book, just in case you are wondering if I'm from the future.
good job....me encanta bowie...no podria levantarme sin escuchar algo de el por las mañanas....thank you for posting it with the lyrics....probably my favourite song.
Not simply a great poet and artist, his words tell us that the way forward for the human race, personally and socially (what used to be called 'nationally' in the 20th and 21st centuries, when this nonsensical concept was developed) is for us to stop bombing each other, and to develop the ability to talk. It took a while, but eventually, we got there. Words not bombs.
Quinton can take a song that is COMPLETLY out of place and make it so that no one would ever question it, just look at reservoir dogs Stuck in the middle with you, if you never saw the movie you would never have thought that would be a good torture song
Outstanding song. Perfect in the World War II movie. Every time I hear the beginning of this song, the hair on the back of my neck stands up cause I know how good it is.
i haven't seen the 1982 version of cat people, but i've heard people say this song was only used at the end credits, which is such a fucking waste of a good song. Kudos to Tarantino for realizing its true potential.
Pretty sad that all these comments refer to Inglorious Bastards....have any of you see Cat People???? Not saying Inglorious Bastards was not a great film, but Cat People was far superior and so well done for the time it came out.
@salemsdad76 I agree, Cat People was way ahead of its time whereas Inglourious Basterds suffers from pop culturitis. Plus, Lynn Lowry rocked in Cat People.
The song certainly fits more in Cat People even though it worked in the other (of course this is because it was meant for Cat People specifically), though I kind of thought IB was a bit better. I'm a bit two-sided on the end of that movie, but overall I enjoyed it. I liked Cat People enough, but still thought that while it was stylish and rather well acted it was just kind of average to me. But then that's mostly just because I'm a big fan of the original which to me was superior.
cat people... fantastic movie, fantastic nastasjia kinski... and fantastic song by Bowie !! "see these eyes so green,,, I can stare for a thousand years !!!" ...the eyes of the leopard ? maybe the eyes of a little lovely tiger !!!
Whoever thinks Inglorious Basterds is a "boring/bad/crap/etc." movie doesn't know, clearly, anything about WW2...it's the perfect ending to what it really was and Quentin Tarantino portraid what the 40s were like during the Third Reich increadibly well!
iv been looking for this song for ages it reminds me of a bar in zante at midnight every night this song would play and the bar staff would littleraly set fire to the bar and it was a great party trick
One of my favorites! Love this song. It gives me chills. LOL
