here's a tip for all you parents. Have your boy/girl practice playing with one hand only...bounce ball on the ground or wall, filp ball over your head, play catch with another, etc...After they grasp that, everything else falls into place naturally once they put 2 hands on the stick (ie. cradling, shooting). This teaches kids "touch" with the ball when catching/throwing.

I think the net is so small because of their "wideness". It would just be to hard for little kids like that to be stopping someone shooting in a 4 ft wide goal. But I could be wrong.

Actually this is a scaled down game for the little kids - it is called Chumash - and you can score from either side of the net, there is a whole set of rules, but mostly allows to little kids to learn the basic game...
