is this actually how the original one was...a bunch of cut-to-cut scenes with no developing chronological story?dont get me wrong..theres obviously a story here..im just a litttle confused is all..
guess i'm one of the few who actually like the remake. missed the orig movie growing up, but i can understand the devotion to it by those who saw it when it came out back in the day.
On the old vs the new. One Jerry is more smooth and one more ruthless. The 1985 Jerry actually got invited in the house and more enjoyed psychologically messing with his victims. The 2011 Jerry couldn't get invited in, so he just burned the house down.
Yes, the new film is full of action and CGI, but the original version has the classic elements of vampire movies, and this must be added other factors such as OST and interpretation of the actors.
I remember William Ragsdale in 'Herman's Head' too...and I agree he's an excellent actor and he's cute too...even more so now as he's grown older..Like Brendan Fraser who's also a wonderfully versatile actor who can take on action/adventure roles such as The Mummy..comedy..George of the Jungle...& drama...Crash...God's & Monsters & The Quiet American...and he's a good looking dude too...hope Ragsdale gets to shine a bit more too..
Je pense que ce film est attachant. Je pense que c'est un film avec une intrigue très particulier et de la composition qui laissent une trace dans les téléspectateurs.
Je ne suis pas couramment le français vous devez donc excuser les erreurs que j'ai.
**I think this movie is endearing. I think it's a movie with a very particular plot and composition that leave a trace in the viewers.
I'm not fluent in French so you must excuse the mistakes I have.**

Thank you for rating my video editing and for qualifying it as well synchronized and mixed with the melody. Yes, this edition of the video I did, I'm glad you like it.
Sorry guys but sad to say the new one is awful. You'll never beat Chris Sarandon. So cool. Especially the chomping on red apples.I had to come straight home and watch the original to keep the love.
@Raiushi Really? Well if people say so then i'll give it a try. I always dislike remakes because like you said, its always about the cash they make. But from what is seen in the trailer i can say myself that it doesn't look half bad=D
Colin Farrell is experiencing a revival in his career and I think Fright Night is the beginning of this revival. I liked that you shared your impressions of the remake.
@The7thCreator I agree. I thought the remake would follow how the original one played out, it does in a round about way but I felt it was much more of a climactic ending than the original.
It seems that in any genre we can tolerate any new thing, but in regard to the vampires genre it must be kept the balance between the classic elements and new elements, whatever.
By carefully reading your comment I notice that you entertain both the original film and the remake. I sincerely hope you enjoy both. Thank you very much for your comment.
Fright Night 2 is not bad, but the incomes of this film were lower than the ones obtained of the first. It had new elements that initially madeit more interesting but it still didn't work like the first, maybe the movie was too saturated. The classic elements prevailed over the new ones, perhaps Fright Night 2 was ahead of its time.
This is way better than the remake, Believe me this was meant to be a 80s movie! plus i can believe every bit, If your going to watch this, don't see trailers of this original one, they are really bad and they will spoil the movie for you. Cheers.
These statements that say that the remakes don't overcome the original movies, are true. This remake had 26 years ahead of film industry, but in my humble opinion it didn't surpass the original movie. Something that I miss is the Jerry Dandridge's vampire flight . Cheers.
I liked your opinion that more people need to see my video editing. Expected to receive compliments, but I never thought to tell me something like what you've said. Thank you.
@Zoro11031 my favorite vampire movies reputation destroyed by a piece of shit 2011 colin farrel fucking faggot movie. FUCK everybody who watches this movie because of 2011 remake.
If you mean my video editing, thank you to rate it as better than the 2011 version. Although it's not my intention that both would be compared. I see as positive that a movie is so memorable that is made a remake of it.
this is incredible! was it put together by a pro vid maker? i've seen the movie a million times and have never seen seen a tribute as cool as this. i noticed the 'fright night' kind of super imposed on Charlie's t.v and everything. the music moments were mixed well with the actual score.. just fangtastic! love it.
I dare someone to find me the music that starts at 5:22 I know what it's called but I can't find online anywhere.

This is a really good summary, but I'm surprised you left out the Evil Ed stuff and the disco scene. Those were a few key plot points.

Yes, indeed Amanda Bearse, is the Marcy Darcy of the famous series "Married with Children" (1987) and also the Amy of "Fright Night" (1985).
