This country is alive and well. You just don't hear it on commercial radio. You can find it in clubs and on listener supported radio stations. There are still musicians who love it as much as those of us who listen to it. Support those people whenever you get the chance. It is very hard for them to make a living doing something we all love.
@nogoodnamesright2000 I just saw Teddy Thompson in NYC and he did this as part of his show. I posted his version on my channel. Great tune, great music.
Charlie, im so glad i got to see you on the Marty Stuwart show on RFDTV. Im so greatfull i was borne when i was. I got to hear every Louvin Brothers song. I cant pick a song as a favorite to me they were all #1s. You will be missed you ended an era that will never be duplicated. you and Ira are in good hands now. GOD BLESS you. R.I.P.
R.I.P. Charlie. Yesterday for the last time I saw you, in your casket. Today is your funeral, when we all say Goodbye to you. :-( You left a great legacy of music, and many who loved you. I was proud to call you friend. I remember the Christmas parties and my birthday party you attended, with you joining in singing. :-) Good memories!
I grew up listening to the Louvin Brothers my father loved them...He has every song that they ever recorded. I have so many memories of traveling 9+ hours to Pennsylvania listening to The Louvin Brothers.
RIP Louvin brothers.
