How on earth can you expect the treble to locate correctly?? I've never seen a rig like it, to my mind it's arse about face. Pike take dead bait side on and then turn it and swallow it head first. The way you've set your rig up you are asking for dropped runs or worse still a pike with a gut full of trace.
@Hammersmith80 Small bait, reasonable sized hook, fished under a float, far more sensitive than set up on an alarm, should allow for an instant strike, nothing wrong with using a single treble on a small bait soft bait like a sprat.
why did you put the fish on upside down? the pike will turn the fish in its mouth and eat it head 1st? they wat you have it on it will have a gob full of trace?
a good rig..... hmmmm...... cud u posibly use a standard crankbait.... or a ciscoe...... i fish these monster pike and people get to fancy for me.....
