from the stock downpipe straight to the Y-pipe and each to the exhaust..
Im not sure whether its possible to do 2 pipes from the headers to the back.. u can alwys put a cat(not sure what its called btw or isit a resonator) which they called 1 in 2 out or something.. then maybe you can make 2 pipes all the way from the cat straight to the back with dual pipes. i bet u get what i mean.
@Skytop3000 true dual is possible, just make sure you're not losing too much back pressure though, you dont wanna lose a lot of low end torque. I would probably do a single in dual exit resonator and straight pipe it from there.
is there any down-side to straight pipes??

is this a true dual exhaust? mean TRUE as in 2 pipes from the headers to the mufflers.
not trying to hate, i just want to kno because i just got a 93' vr4 and i want to put a true dual on it 2 pipes all the way

@Synnics you can allways scrap the y pipe and rebuild it as a Xpipe, should sound better

@Skytop3000 a true dual means u have your intake manifold placed on the top of the motor and two headers with continuing dual exhaust
