  • When watching the Andy Griffith show, it looks like the cars they used were more of a flat black with the white. Is that due to the dusty set, the film they used, or were they more of a non-gloss color?

  • really nice old school cars better than todays

  • This movie is now in theaters. One of these car is flipped over in one scene and the crowd gets up and stomps all over it.

  • you cant beat the classics :)

  • I actually own that 1971 Plymouth Fury...cool stuff !!

  • There were a few cars in the shot that were not really the right years for this movie. I think this incident happened in 1968 or 69 so the '71 cars weren't even thought of yet, but most people wouldn't know that...

  • i was also an extra in the blood movie & i drove that first police car in a couple scenes. man it was hot outside those couple of days!

  • Yes, and then it rained in the afternoon. The production staff told everyone to pile into the cars and by then they were about 130 degrees inside! I had two of my own classic cars there for the background shots, a 1960 Pontiac Catalina and a 1963 Bonneville Convertible. The people who piled into my cars totally trashed them with mud. The humidity made it smell like wet dogs had been in my cars... Jeesh! Otherwise a pretty cool experience, though. When's it coming out?

  • I think I saw Otis passed out drunk in the back seat of one of the cruisers.

  • that was so cool that they all signed it; it's a piece of history!

  • i love these cars

i would like to get one

  • That's funny. It's more like 250 feet. I guess I didn't mention it was 97 degrees that day and that I had walked UP the hill first before walking down it to do the filming. Oh yes, and talking, walking and filming is different, a bit more taxing than just standing in front of a camera.

  • Very cool, I own an M151 and its been in the history channel a long time ago

  • I wish they had been able to film this video here in Oxford, but things got crazy enough when the book was released. We thought the town might burn again. :( Feel free to ask me anything about the book and what happened. Mr. Teel still wanders around this town today. It's disgusting. I saw him a few weeks ago, and after reading the book... It was like looking at the Devil.

  • That is so awesome. Love those cars.

  • Pretty neat!

  • Was this in Monroe N.C.? I know they were doing some filming here for this movie.

  • Yes, it was about 2 weeks ago.

  • I don't recognize the area. Looks like a cemetery though.... Cool police cars. I saw them filming out at Rock Rest and at the courthouse. Big stuff for Monroe!
