my grey annie says 80 words at 3 yrs old and growing LOL she starts with bell bell jingle bell twinkle twinkle little star coco star , she calls the dog, i have a audio avail of her sunday morning chatter which is her chattering away like crazy saying papa pa pappa etc!

This is Alec's mom. I feel a need to explain... my girlfriends and I are teachers and have among 3 of us over 80 years in special ed classrooms.  In times of job stress we came up with the statement "you can crawl up my ass and eat a sprout sandwich" we continue to add different types of sandwiches directly relalated to the amout of stress we are under. So when teaching Alec this he says "sproutwitch" It is so funny!

Just got the book Barron's Guide to a Well Behaved Parrot... seems to have good ideas. Also use various inflections when teaching and add 'Ho ho ho" make it somewhat loud and try face to face in a quiet area.

Love it...never ever heard a grey sing. I have 2 blue front amazons and they are good singers.  I also have 2 greys and they never sang anything.

Thanks Karen! Alec is a VERY funny bird, and is suprisingly perceptive. He links events and responds accordingly. He knows the cats, and our other Grey by name, and calls them when he see's our heres them. Thank you for posting him to your facebook and twitter sites.
