During the battle of El Alamein, the Italian soldier (expecially Folgore unit), was forced to attack the British Tank, with hand granade and molotov cocktails.

Because their antitank weapons was simple ineffective against British tanks.

In Russia the italian have a very bad anti-tank artillery, almost unusefull against russian tank.

At the beginning of the Russian campain Italian had very good result.

One example is the "Ibuschenskij Charge". That was the last horse charge of the history, where 700 Italian cavalery won against 2500 Russian troops.

It's not a secret that Germans gave several Iron Crosses to Italian troops in Russia.
