This definitely was when his voice was in Baaaad shape. After the SNL performance, things got worse for those vox chords. Years of screaming and drugs took a toll... but the man has got em back! Much better than this nowadays!

I'm glad to hear someone feeling the same as me : at the last soundgarden show in paris in 95/96(?) the voice of Chris was really baad! but retrospectivly from far this is still one of the best band with Alice in chains, and they did many good shows ....

can u or someone prove that cornell was on drugs at one point in his life? i have never read anywhere that he was a drug addict, he was an alcoholic (alcohol is a drug but not thought of as one by most) but just because hes a rock star and others from his time period were big addicts doesnt mean he was. I personally cant see a guy like chris who considered most people in the world to be stupid doing drugs
